It's schlocky and pretty obvious -- lots of goofy comedic bits that, while they may work all right on paper, will come off unremittingly cheesy onscreen. Chances are likely tbat it will turn out more in the vein of SCARY MOVIE than EVIL DEAD II.
Not that I'm bitter or anything.

My bet is that Miramax will transform this into a full-blown comedy in the editing room, much like they did with THE BATTLE OF SHAKER HEIGHTS last year -- a layered coming-of-age drama became a wacky teen movie.
