I come from Hamburg =)
There's alot to see if you're willing. However I'm not sure why you would want to visit Hamburg and boycott the Reeeperbahn.Hehe. Hamburg just isn't Hamburg without the Reeperbahn. There's a strip club called The Dollhouse that's quite "respectable" nice looking girls 'n' guys table dancing. It's quite a laugh, if a bit pricey but it's nowhere near as seedy as some of the other strip clubs.
Other stuff to see.
Modern Art museum. well worth a visit.
Diechtor Hallen. There's always a good exhibition going on.
The Harbour. Lots of boat trips on offer. Either take a guided tour or just jump on one of the ferries and travel up and down the river.
Hamburg Dungeons. Lots of Hamburg history, medievil torture, dark ages stuff.
Erotic Museum. Seriously, it's worth checking out.
Model Train Museum. Sounds nerdy I know, but it's supposedly the largest model railway in the world and it's on two floors. I take my son a couple of times a year and it's quite impressive.
Planten & Blomen. A really nice park in the centre of Hamburg with a river running through it. kick back and relax.
English Theatre. if you need something in your home tongue.
Fernseher Turm. ( radio tower ) take a hike up to the top and you can see the whole of Hamburg....you can bungie jump back down if you like =)
There's more but that should get you started.
What kind of drinking/ club scene do you prefer? I could give you some further recommendations if I were to have an idea of your tastes in music.
The word on Tanz Der Vampire is NOT good...the early reviews have been mostly poor and the posters I've seen look a bit on the cheap side....it's also expensive.
Something a girl in her late twenties would like?? How about me? I could be your guided tour
