I like that the person getting indignant about a non-existent lie and professing to stand up for journalistic integrity and honor is the BIPOLAR HOLLYWOOD EXECUTIVE with the 5 cent bucket of half assed insults pressed firmly between his knees, flinging them with a weak snap of the wrist at a bunch of geeks on the internet. It's funny because you're striding in with some imagined sense of superiority when you do it, too. It makes insults like "Froghead" seem all the more absurd, doesn't it?

Anyway, since Devin DIDN'T lie, it was your own blustery bullshitting that got you caught out there, to the point where you refuse to print an email because you're afraid of being sued or something (which is total horseshit, by the way, you'd think someone who built a side-career out of being an internet troll would know what you can be sued for and what you can't, or whether who you're trying to shit on would even sue you) why the fuck should we listen to someone like DON MURPHY editorialize on honesty? Why should we be shocked and outraged? The only shock and surprise comes when someone as simple, mean-spirited and unethical as YOU stomps around the internet like some swarthy, hairy combination of Cro-Magnon Man and Miss Manners.

Don, since you're here, two questions. I just finished reading Jane Hamsher's wonderful book Killer Instinct, and I was wondering:
1) Is Monday Morning/Color of Fear available for rental?
2) You seemed to have stopped working with Jane Hamsher, may I ask what happened?

Everybody is missing the most important piece of information given to us. With people like "The Planeteers" working, the site has less than a year left. I don't know about anybody else, but that puts life in a whole new perspective for me. By God, I think I'll let sunlight touch my skin tomorrow for the first time in months. It's time I got back in touch with that crazy thing called Real Life. How I've missed it.

Weirdly enough, I'm actually rereading Alan Moore's "League" comics, and the saddest thing about Don Murphy, the absolute worst, is that here's a Hollywood producer who--according to the rumors, at least--loves comic books. He's not just another huckster looking to cash in on Spidey's success, he genuinely loves the medium. And to top it all off, he's a regular entity on the web and he never hesitates to contact fans directly. Jesus, this guy should be a geek hero. He should be the little guy who made it good, our official representative in Hollywood working to safeguard creator's visions and bring all our favorite stories to the screen.

And instead he allows brilliant works to be muddied and ruined by talentless hacks--seriously, every other page of Moore's comics make me say, "Why wasn't THAT in the movie?"--and he uses the internet to hunt down anybody who dares question his genius, stalking them, firing off insults at a third grade level, and just generally making a fool of himself. This is the guy who should be working tirelessly to get good adaptations of stuff like Watchmen and Preacher made, not ranting about LXG's international box office grosses to snickering kids on the internet.

What a fucking waste.
