Homicide: Life on the Street

This should probally be in DVD, but it's still on court TV I believe. Anyway, I was a big fan of this fan for the last several years, it was one of the few shows that my father let me watch, and the series finale (the two hour tv movie) is probally my favorite finale of all time....but I recently picked up the first two seasons on DVD, and I really HAD forgotten what a groundbreaking, powerful show this was. A cop show with little action and lots of darkness, where the smaller moments like Crosetti listening to jazz with a wounded cop or Gee hosing down Pembleton after a night shift with no A.C. or Munch describing how he lights a candle for the dead are on equal footing with the bombastic ones...

...anyway, this didn't make much sense, but I wanted to talk about it.

No cop show can compare to this. I've tried, but they just don't do it for me. My best friend just moved to Bawlmer, and sought out the old building on the waterfront they used as the station...

Anyway, just my 11 cents.

YEs this is THE cop show to beat in my opinion, but you know what...The Shield is getting DAMN CLOSE.

It is on DVD. Seasons 1-4 are available with season 5 out later this year.

The later season DVD's should offer an edit-out Falzone feature... now thats a special feature.

Figured I'd bump this thread instead of starting a new one. I'm watching "Three Men and Adena" from Season 1 and holy hell is this something else. Just three guys in a room and it's got more tension than a dozen action scenes.
