Here I am recovering from surgery to remove Critter eggs that infected one of my non-vital organs and even through the fog of pain pills I still found time to treat you to a new installment of my From here To Obscurity review series. Okay, fine, I admit I wrote it before the surgery but I still had to sit through KILLDOZER to do so which means I still had to suffer for you folks.

From Here To Obscurity: KILLDOZER

Time for my next dose of Percocet. Later.

I Will Kill Youuuuuuuu!

KILLDOZER is an adapation (here goes that word again) of a short story by the mind altering Theodore Sturgeon. To bad this movie sounds more like generic turdeon. Any mention of him in the credits?

Not only is his short fiction beyond belief, but he has a long line of prestigeous writing credits for tv including some of the very best episodes of STAR TREK, THE TWILIGHT ZONE, and LAND OF THE LOST.

North Atlantic books are on volume 9 of his collected short stories and they're essential reading for fans of the fantastic.

Not sure. I'd have to go back and check. I knew it was based on a short story but didn't bring it up since I'm not all that familiar with it and I'm sure Mr. Sturgeon would probably prefer it that way considering how terrible the movie is. However, I do own the Marvel comic adaptation of the short story which has a really cool cover, vastly superior to anything in the movie.

oooh yeah!

I have fond memories of watching this late at night followed by Dinosaurus.

Great job, as usual.

(How's that Yeti article comin'? ...just kidding)

I want argue with you there. Just wandering if he had written the teleplay, or some studio guy?

Per IMDB, the teleplay is credited to Ed MacKillop - the story is credited to Sturgeon.

I also remember watching this film many times on late night network television.
