Top 5 Slasher films set at Camp...

Okay, I'm looking for hidden gems I might not ordinarily know about. I'm a fan of The Burning, the original Friday the 13th, Madman (the mad man Mars...), the first Sleepaway Camp (kind of schlocky but I love the twist gender ending), and the 2nd Friday the 13th. I'm boning up on this long dormat slasher genre 'cuz I've been approached by a new indie company that want to do one. We've got some concepts that could be fun, but I want to immerse myself in it, then fuck with it, then really fuck with it and have some fun.

What am I missing? What's out there I haven't seen or show go back and watch again?

HDF, TWITCH OF THE DEATH NERVE might be something to watch ...

And I might be stretching things here, but hey .... PIECES had its moments, and if you just think of the school as a camp, it works ...

And while it's not a slasher nor a film set in a camp, camping was a important part of THE BLAIR WITCH PROJECT ...

And wasn't there a Jess Franco FRI13TH rip-off ??? .... BLOODY MOON ??? ...

I'd recommend Cabin Fever if it was a better movie. Meatballs had a scary part.

I'd recommend CABIN FEVER, but it's not exactly obscure. Great flick though.

I'd also say FRIDAY THE 13TH, PART VI: JASON LIVES as it's the best of the series with some great mixes between horror and humour. Again, not obscure but a classic.

One word...

"Ticks"...

What else do you need?

Stranded in the woods with Seth Geen, Aimi Dolenz and Clint Howard and with HUGE burrowing ticks...

Sweet!

Thanks Guys. I've seen all those flicks except BLOODY MOON and TWITCH OF THE DEATH NERVE. I'll see if I can track those two down. TICKS was a lotta dirty fun.
