Cool story. I see Bryan Brown as the lead, with Tippett Studios doing the FX.

It reminds me that when I was in Switzerland a couple of weeks ago they had this story in the newspapers about mutant killer shrimps in the Geneva lake. I thought it was pretty neat.

As soon as the Sci-Fi Channel hears about this they are going to start running that awful MARABUNTA: KILLER ANTS movie non-stop. Oh wait, they already do that.

Now if we can just giant size the suckers we'll have the making for THEM! DOWN UNDER, not to be confused with QUIGLEY DOWN UNDER or THE FACTS OF LIFE DOWN UNDER.

Sadly ants cannot become much larger than they already are. The funny tube system them breathe with would no longer function and they'd die. Which only proves that god is pretty damn boring. But in the end they can still get to us through sheer numbers, just like the good old shambling zombies. A trillion normal sized ants are as dangerous as a couple truck-sized ones. They'll win. Give them time. I'm a bit worried, though, that they'll try to exterminate this magnificent colony, which so clearly marks a new stage in their evolution. I mean, what would have happened if some aliens or whoever would've panicked once the first apes started using simple stone tools. OMG, they're evolving, let's kill them all! If they really try to exterminate them I hope they mutate again, like the cockroaches in MIMIC and come back to bite them in the ass!
