Good review, even if I wasn't too crazy about the second season. Really uneven show. Still, the episode with the snake makes it all worthwhile.

You want an even better cover than the one on there already? Here's a hint: grab a good, solid hold on both sides of the wide part of the cover and give a push to the spine. Lo and behold, an even better cover should be revealed with a small amount of effort on your part.

To tell you the truth, I felt that this was the most difficult disc I've had to review. It took me forever, and it gave me a headache. How the hell do you review something as strange as ATHF? It's a show I love, but I don't think there's a rational way to review a show like this.

Oh, and Master Shake, are you fucking with me with the cover art? I've got no idea what you're talking about.

Well, you did a better job with it than I did. I think pretty much all of the Adult Swim humor just doesn't translate well to print. The comedy is all about inflection and timing, which goes against 99% of modern sitcom standards (Set-up, punchline, reaction. Set-up, punchline, reaction.) The Adult Swim humor is definitely smarter and artsier, but the problems come when they're content to fall back on just being smart and surreal rather than actively trying to make the episodes funny. There are plenty of smart, fucking INSANE episodes on this set that just really aren't that funny. Worth watching, but tough to critique.

But like I said, you did a good job.

Thanks, man.

Nope, I'm not fucking with you. Notice how the cover is kinda papery and doesn't feel completely attached to the box? That's because it's a slip cover. Test it, you'll see I'm not bullshitting.

I can't believe I missed that. Brilliant cover. Thanks, Shake. Much better indeed. Had I known this was here, the artwork would have received an even higher score.
