I don't like it there either. I told Johnny I'd make a stop-over, but it's totally not to my tastes. Sounds funny, as I'm a huge horror fan, but I dunno.

It still seems like a bunch of empty noise over there. I've spotted a few good discussions, but they are hard to find through the countless vapid "Name Your Favorite" threads. It's all very confusing. But I'm gonna stay with it for a little while.

How can anyone say a bad thing about a message board where someone can say they enjoyed HOUSE OF THE DEAD better than the original DAWN OF THE DEAD because DOTD was too "boring and serious" and have people agree?

Yeah, there's definately some "interesting" opinions over there to say the least.

I still haven't registered yet. It's more a matter of laziness than anything else. The signal to noise ratio is a little high for my tastes right now but that can be fixed by more of us posting threads about topics worth discussing. Eventually the "OMG bEsT ______ EvAr!!!1!!!" threads will sink like a rock.

I think they need to put an end to unregistered posting after seeing what Foy had to put up with. (Am I the only one who had a mental image of some goober screaming at his Web TV while banging on his keyboard in frustration after reading that shit?) Banning is useless if the offending party can just keep on posting anyway.

Actually, that person wasn't unregistered. They got banned then came back and got banned again for more of the same. In fact, unless that was an imposter... well... um... that "goober" is just a few posts up. Either way, I still can't comprehend how someone can be that hostile over such trivial things but such is the nature of the internet. Next thing you know someone will start screaming I lied about my wounds in Vietnam or something like that.

Heh. Slightly off topic Foy, but have you seen a movie called Turbulance 3: Heavy Metal? I caught this one on HBO yesterday and after reading the review in your sig it's right up your alley. It was horrid but I couldn't stop watching it. They even managed to work that Stull, Kansas gateway to hell church into the "plot".

Ahh, Turbulence 3, the pinnacle of Craig Scheffer's career. I'll admit I watched it - it was so bad I just couldn't bring myself to turn it off. That's an hour and a half of my life that I'll never get back.

Craig Sheffer's been on a downward slide since Some Kind of Wonderful.

Oh yeah. Definately a guilty pleasure of mine. It's terrible but I can't not laugh when I watch it. That scream the Marilyn Manson guy lets out as he's landing the plane is priceless.

Thot's because the layout makes no sense. The DC board complicates matters further. If they report an upcoming movie, and we discuss it, does it get moved to the contemporary board when it comes out? what about a DVD related news piece? If we're talking about Audition, and we start discussing the differences between the movie's DVD releases, will they move the thread to DVD? Why would we have to go to different forums to talk about Ju-ON and it's remake?

Fuck the overcategorization.

Jack19, in regards to any possible Stull roadtrip, don't waste your time. The "evil church" was torn down several years ago and there's really nothing to see.

Of course, you can't even get into the cemetery anymore, because the townsfolk don't like trespassers. You go anywhere near the cemetery, and they'll literally run you out of town. It's overrated.

But Turbulence 3? That's the goods. Slade Craven is my hero.

I'll second that. Besides all of the fun haunted houses in your area will be open for business in a few weeks. (The Edge Of Hell, The Beast, etc...) You won't get arrested for tresspassing there.

The worst thing is that the categories aren't even consistent. Jason X is in the Exploitation forum, and there are threads about Ju-On all over the place. Then I ask a question about a movie in it's proper forum only to be told that the movie is being discussed in ANOTHER forum, where the good uncle bathes us with his wisdom.

I just don't like being mistreated or discounted, and I feel like that. Here I can ask Nick or you about things, and I will at least get a response that explains the reasons behind stuff. That's being made to feel welcome, and if someone who owns a place doesn't bother in the least, then I don't feel especially obliged to pussyfoot around the issues. The layout there sucks, they are not changing it to make it coherent or consistent, and they refuse to present their reasoning, not even in a broad fashion. *shrug*

To you, Ryan, and even Nick we are members of a community. To UC, we are consumers of a product. That's the impression I get from him, and it creeps me the fuck out.

Yeah, we've got some pretty cool haunted house. Iv'e been to Nightmares once and the Beast like three times. NIghtmares was pretty crappy(one room was just a bunch of really fake bugs glued to the wall and there was a strobe light), but Beast was awesome(except last year, I went on Halloween and it was really crowed. The line movied so slow you could hear all the scares coming from a mile away.) I think I'll try edge of hell this year.
