Fright Fest looks like it will be a go!!

I just got an email from Paul McEvoy, and it looks like Don may be bringing a surprise to Fright Fest afterall. I'm working with Don and Paul to try to set this up. I'll let you know which day Don will be there...

I meant to put this under "Regional, outside the U.S", can it be moved?? Sorry.
Tiff,

I'll see him there then. I'm in it for the whole duration. Friday til Monday...

Good old Paul. He's a trooper.

Very cool. I'll tell Don to find you or you find him. Make sure you tell him that you are my buddy from the Corner... As soon as I find out what day he has to do his thing, I'll let you know.

Wish I was going to be there for this (crying)

Strax, buddy, you covering it for us? Buddy? Are ya?
Which "us", Cricket Man ?

For sure. By, say, Christmas ?
I'll cover it and have it written up Tuesday morning if you pay for my train fare.

Fucking unemployed layabout...

(You can ask, but hopefully they'll be photos sometime in early November...)
That sounded harsh. I must have the same syndrome as Beaks. I merely meant CC or HC ? I'm not sure if HC readers would dig any of my grouchy shit.

Anyhoo, the good lady Alices Girl's also in attendence for a few pictures -- Romasanta's the only oe she's seeing that hasn't been reviewed chez le Corner yet. Maybe we can entice her to spew a few words...

I'm used to it.

If anyone has half a brain, they'll dig your wonderful - if oft-delayed - wordsmitheeing.

Is that even a word?
Strax, we're not going to be here anymore, so I would guess I ment Dread Central. All of the writers, all of the content, all of the "grumpy shit" is what made this site, and it's what will make DC as well. As long as everyone is willing to play with us over there. You see.

So I want reviews, general coverage, pictures of you with various wankers and wankettes...whatever you have.

Aww, go on and play Strax. I told Don to be looking for you!!
You got it, signor.

It was, as ever, the "wankettes" that swung it...
Not only will I be there, following Strax everywhere he goes , but I will also be wearing my CC shirt.

Great!!! Just talked to Don and he said he is looking forward to meeting you both!
you know Don King?
The legend and his beard-for-hair is unfortunately not attending.

Great stuff, Tiff. I'll be moochihg around with Paul and Alan the organisers anyway...saw them both today with Guillermo Del Toro and they're frothing at the mouth with excitement about the weekend.
I'd give my right eye to go to this. Make sure you take tons of pictures, Giles.

LOL. No, Don Mancini is my brother.

You know, the guy who did the Pink Panther music.
That's a shame. He could pull out Mike Tyson in the middle of a screening and scare the shit out of everyone.
As I'm not attending (and i imagine it's sold out by now) i should probably shut up and let you all post in peace. If i'm passing through the area i promise to look out for Creature Corner T-Shirts.

Your brother was responsible for the Child's Play movies?
I honestly don't know whether to shake you by the hand or bludgeon you to death. With a ken doll.

Will you be inviting any Daily Mail reporters to this soiree?

Would Don be annoyed to learn that I harbour a sneaking affection for Cellar Dweller?

Of course not, I have a bit of an affection for it as well. I just didn't realize that anyone would know that Cellar Dweller was his.

Strax and A, Don asked Paul where you both were today. I guess they had some type of party earlier. Anyway, he said he would catch up with you tomorrow.

Have a great time..... Take pictures.

Strax and A, Thanks so much for taking the time to introduce yourselves to Don. He said you were both great and really enjoyed the whole Fest!! In fact, he ended up going back Saturday night and Sunday too.

I'm looking forward to getting together in a few weeks. Talkl to you soon.

Tiff, it was really great meeting your brother! We've taken pics with him, I'll make sure I send them to you or post them on the corner as soon as I get back to my place, which should be later this week. As soon as I told Don my name he said "hey, my sister told me about you!"; he also signed some stuff for me, which was really cool.

The clips were great; looks like Seed's definitely gonna be a lot of fun. Your brother sure got a crazy mind

Thanks a lot!

A, can you get back to the Fest today? Don just called and he got a shipment in from the studio. He got Get a Load of Chucky" condoms, key chains and t-shirts, and he is headed back to the Fest now. If you can't get back, I'm sure I can get some for you.

He is having a great time. Thanks for looking out for him!!
Ok, I'm going back right now. Hope he'll still be there!! Thanks!
What a gentelman. Really nice, easy going guy.

Whole weekend was a blast. Saw Don a couple times. Really looking foward to hanging out when you get here, Tiff. Hope Don's not stressed too much with the editing schedule...he and Chris (editor of Shaun Of The Dead) seemed in great spirits the whole time they were there though. Open and very appreciative of all the fans. Very cool he managed to get himself out of bed for the very early screeing of Profondo Rosso as well

Pictures to follow real soon (once I work out how to download the fookin' things to my desk top...)
And our coverage will follow, right Strax?

As long as you have September 25th, 2009 marked free on your calendar.

I kid, Giles. I kid...

Grabbing my lap top this weekend ad hashing some pompous wordage accordingly, good sirs. You'll be getting some literary chow from the lady AG as well with any luck.

Trouble is, of course, that those internet savvy and critically talented mo' fo's of Corner Land have got to pretty much all of the pictures before hand. So reviews will mostly be filling the gaps, mostly. Few little tidbits of info as well.

Couple of pics of my fat face and others more attractive attached for those that don't read the Regional Outside US Forums...
