Living Hell

I had never heard of the Japanese film LIVING HELL until I read about it in last Sunday's NY Post ... Scheduled to be released on DVD August 31st, the film was directed by Shugo Fujii who cites Hitchcock, Brian DePalma and WHAT EVER HAPPENED TO BABY JANE as inspirations ......

The reviewer loved the film, comparing it in feel to the original TEXAS CHAINSAW MASSACRE ... Apparently the plot revolves around the torment of a wheelchair-bound boy at the hands of a sadistic old woman and her emaciated grand-daughter ....

Is anyone familar with this film ??? It was made in 2000, and I've never heard of it ....

The Girlcreeture and I saw it back at Fantasia in 2001, she loved it and reviewed it then, more recently Subversive sent me the DVD and I reviewed it as well. We've mentioned it many times in stories and on the boards, strange you would've never heard of it...it's good stuff.

Oh, and The Horror Channel has a contest going on now to win copies of it, check that out here
