The last Godzilla film... and they're planning on going out with a bang.

According to Yahoo! News Japan, Godzilla will battle 'Zilla - the Roland Emmerich redesign from the American film. This is in addition to Gigan, Rodan, Minya, Mothra, Kamacuras, Kumonga, Manda, Ebirah, Anguirus, King Caesar, Hedorah the Smog Monster, and the new Monster X... all of whom Godzilla will be taking on in FINAL WARS.

Any thoughts?

Looks like Kitamura's going to keep the lo-tech charm of the original series. Excellent. King Ceaser with the Jackie Chan Dragons Forever spinkick. My heart is beaming. Can't wait for this.

The last few Godzilla movies have skipped Western theaters, but have made their way to (dubbed) DVD. This being the last one (supposedly) it might get a limited release but I wouldn't bank on it. If you're All Region, it's usually quicker, easier and cheaper to order the R3 DVD release from somewhere like DDDHouse.com.
