Star Wars toys are so SMALL!

Am I right?! I rmember getting an X-men toy back in 2000 and Wolvie could've stepped on Han!

The AT-AT is still awesome as ever, my friend had the Falcon and the AT-AT and his Falcon was smashed by a baseball bat, that walker remains tangled up in an ironic twist.

Well, that way they can fit in their little ships and stuff.

Seems to be working for them.

When the "new" Power of the Force first debuted, weren't they a bigger scale then they are now? The newer stuff definitely looks a bit fragile.

They've always been 3 3/4, but they have scale to one another now, so that yeah, Luke is a bit smaller than Han. But it'd be way too cost-prohibitive to produce figures that would fit in vehicles at even the size of X-Men. I mean, imagine using the Marvel Legends size to produce a Millennium Falcon or Imperial Shuttle. That'd be insane.

Thankfully, it also means they're cheaper. Usually.

The new OTC figures are incredible, at least the ones I've seen so far. I might pick up a Vader and a Yoda, but not the rest. It's bad enough we have to double-dip our DVDs for a better version, now we gotta double-dip our figures too?

The new OTC Han is one cool cookie. I think another thing that adds to the smallness factor is that nowadays most figures are substantially bigger (LOTR, McFarlane, Hellboy, Marvel, DC direct, etc). They've always been smallish, but that was back in the G.I. Joe days when you didn't notice so much...because you were too busy having your Tusken Raider and your proportionally-sized Stormshadow duke it out.

I like the small size because it allows them to do a wide variety of characters without overwhelming collectors space-wise. If they were as big as Marvel Legends, I wouldn't buy very many of them because I wouldn't have anyplace to put them. Of course, I'm having trouble finding places to put them now, but it would be much worse if they were bigger.

The regular OTC line has some great packaging, but tons of repacks that don't interest me so much. The "Vintage" figures you guys are talking about are generally good to great, but it frustrates me that they marked them up to $10 because of the special packaging. I have the ANH wave, but that's only because there was a sale that allowed me to get the four of them for about $25 instead of $40. I like them, but don't want to pay so much extra if I plan to open them.

Alright the vehicles answer makes sense now, though a giant AT-AT is a cool thought. What do you guys do with your Star Wars figures? Do you keep them packaged or do you have one impaling the other?

As soon as i get my Pc fixed and my desk and stuff all proper i'm getting some to decorate my desk

I rmember get the special Edition figure of Han and Jabba from a New Hope free cause the lady didn't charcge me properly.
i also used to have a two pack of boba Fett and IG-88, only toy i got from Attack of the clones was the Jango Fett one, that's still laying around somewhere, has a nice little wire thing you can hang him from. I can't believe my friends Falcon got smashed by a baseball bat. What a waste of money.

and Barkatthemoon, there's more evidence that the only good double dip is an ice cream cone

I don't keep 'em packaged 'cause I think it's wrong to deprive a kid of a toy that they'd actually use.

God, the OTC Limited figures are so sweet. Vader is the best, with all of his wonderful articulation and clothiness. Finally I can have Vader kick the crap out of a GI Joe without looking like a piece of wood.

Double Dipped Ice Cream? SO GOOD.
