At The Mountains of Madness - "My dream for that movie would be to band together with people like Gahan Wilson, Corbin, Geiger, Moebius and the lot and conceptualize a truly cosmic horror movie. May I live long enough to see it!"

Oh sweet mother of God please get Geiger involved.

I just love the idea of the mish mash of all those people's styles (though I'm not familiar with them all, I can imagine based on the others I am familiar with.) It could really capture the undulating strangeness and cosmic horror of Lovecraft. Be many things at once.

Kinda sad that this kind of talk makes the movie seem far far off though, not even in any real planning stages. I keep hoping he'll get to this sooner than later. I really want Del Toro's At the Mountains of Madness."

I'd like to throw in Junji Ito's (TOMIE, UZUMAKI) name into the hat also. I think his art concepts would be out of this world for this movie.

The very idea of this movie is infintely more interesting than a Hellboy movie. I wish he'd dump that off to someone like Anderson and make a real movie.

If Del Toro wants them involved, you can pretty much guarentee they'll bring something interesting to the mix. The only problem I see with bringing all those people in is that I can't see any studio giving him that much freedom, even after the success of Hellboy (sorry to all those that poo-pooed it), but that is what he would need to make this movie as good as he wants it to be.

At least he's learned from experience not to compromise. I know that if he can never make it the way he wants it to be, it won't be made.

He should put all those artists in a single room for a day and video tape it...it would be the new reality show!

Anyway, seriously, this would be great. I love Geiger's Alien and Necomonicon, but seriously, all these artists have pretty big ego's so could Del Toro get them to work together? It would be amazing if he could pull it off...

I could see Geiger having an issue with having to share his ideas with anybody. He's the one I'd most like to see. I have a bunch of books on his artwork and I just love it.
