I'll start this by saying that I am not in any way a film maker or student. I have a question for you guys since you are "in the know" as they say. Do you guys know of any websites that explain "moviemaking 101"? A friend of mine and I make "movies" (for a lack of a better term) now and then and I would like to find out some tricks to make them look better. These "movies" and pretty much just to entertain ourselves, we just make them with a home movie camera and basic computer editing equipment. I'm just looking for info on the basic stuff like: what shots to use for what effects, like what shots do I use when two people are talking to each other and what shots do I use for making a car chase look good, etc.? How do I achive tension and drama? Nothing too serious, just basic stuff that I can apply.
