I'm going to stick with the intitial rules here: These are movies I think filmlovers will look back at from the future and acknowledge as teh gr8ness.
Casino Royale - The movie that showed what Bond could be after three decades of diminishing returns
There Will Be Blood - DDL's analogue to Brando's "Streetcar" or "Waterfront"
The Incredibles - Will one day be a part of the same pantheon as Bambi, Cinderalla, etc
LOTR - The gold standard. In the future, a truly great fantasy flick will proudly include a critic's quote saying "Best fantasy since the Lord of the Rings" on any and all promotional material. The other ones will include that comment, but only because quotewhores will throw them out there. Either way, it's Peter Jackson's opus that will still stand tallest.
The 40 Year Old Virgin - pointed to as "the public beginning of the Apatow era"
