Identify Two Films?

Okay I've been racking my brain trying to come up the the names of two horror films. I have no clue what their names are, so I'm asking you... the readers at creature corner to help me out. I'll tell you what I can remember about them and maybe you can help me out.

First movie is an older black and white film. It may or may not have Vincent Price in the film. Story is about a boy who is contantly being warned by his father about men with violin (or some type of instrument) cases. I forget most of the plot (it's been years since i've seen this) but the main thing is the guys with the cases are vampire hunters and the boy and his family are... you guessed it vampires. And inside the cases are?.... yep, stakes.

Okay second movie. I'm gonna guess it's prob an eighty's movie. It's about a man that's hunting a creature of some type. The creature lives underground and travels from cemetery to cemetery. The creature lives by feeding on the bodies. The end of the movie is the hunter and the caretaker of the cemetery? going underground to hunt the creature.

Okay that's as much as I can remember about them. If anyone has a clue what either of these films are please let me know. Thanks.

The second one sounds a bit like Steven King's Graveyard Shift, though I very much doubt it. There was nobody really 'hunting' the creature in that.

Graveyard Shift

No, I have seen that one before. This was definetly B-Horror. I can't for the life of me even tell you anyone who was in it.

The first movie that you described sounds like a segment of the anthology film The Monster Club , although the movie was made in 1980, it is possible that this particular section was shot in black and white. The wrap around story of the movie featured Vincent Price, and the segment you described had Donald Pleasance as the leader of the vampire hunters that are after the young boy's father.

The second is called The Dark (1994), which was a Canadian production starring Stephen McHattie and Brion James, and also featured Neve Campbell.

I've actually always been mildly curious about both of these films, but I've never been able to track them down... although they aren't exactly on my mind every time I go to the video store.

The second one sounds like it could be The Lurking Fear.

The second movie is definately The Dark. It has some decent creature effects, but for the most part was a real snoozer.
