Looking for opinions for upcoming horror film

Actually need opinions on the new logo we're working on for the next horror feature. I was looking for something very simple but eye catching. We might be using this logo for the main poster so it would really be helpful to get people whose interests lie in the horror genre.

I am a graphic designer and if my opinion matters, I think that it is quite weak. The pentagram thingy is played out big time. I'm not trying to be a dick, just honest.

I hear ya. I'm hearing that alot actually BUT is it a bad image if the film is really about Satanism? Lots of people think that by using this image I'm trying to upset people but how do you portray a film about Devil worshippers without a Satanic symbol? Like I said, I'm open to thoughts.

I'm sure that there are other powerful images that would convey the message you want to send that are more original than a pentagram.

The Goathead on it's own is a fairly evocative image. Maybe just a head shadowed by the blood or something along those lines.

The biggest problem I have with the pentagram is it's too prominent. The "W" is soft and fuzzy, while the pent is sharp and bright. Reverse that and you'll see a marked improvement. You want the focus to be the W.

you realize that the pentagram has nothing directly to do with satanism right? Its just a movie symbol that got put in the wrong place.

its actually a pagan symbol, and its a good thing, not bad.

I'd go with the goat head, or *gasp* come up with something original. just imo

Actually this version of the pentagram was created by the Church of Satan I believe, not from any movie. Oh and the "good" meaning is also a recent thing created by modern day "witches" or wicca bullshit, whatever you wanna called that crap, and the one they use is not inverted. If we're gonna get into a discussion about what Satanism really is...in the end Satanism is a modern term as well and it has many definitions, for members of the Church of Satan it has NOTHING to do with Satan as a mystical entity. Satanism is a very broad term. What are Satanists? There are non-violent Satanists in the world and they are (supposedly) the ones who kill babies and sacrifice their souls and others to a Devil that may or may not exist. So, how can you say and know what MY definition of what "Satanic" is in my film ? So, that symbol may be played out or cheesy or whatever but it's not wrong.
