I imagine not many people have seen this yet, as it only is opening in select cities starting today. I caught a screening though earlier this week thansk to the local newspaper and the movie really surprised me.
Obviously Baldwin and Broderick caught my eye when I heard about the movie, and the premise sounded funny (FBI gets into the movie biz as part of a sting operation, only without telling the wannabe director). But the way these two (and the other cast - Shaloub, Collette, Flockhart, and Cusack) execute the deadpan humor jokes is great. Baldwin is absolutely hilarious - and there are so many quotable jokes that I've been confusing my friends ever since I've seen it with references.
And the FBI agents are perfectly portrayed, as his the hollywood producer type by Cusack. Great Hollywood insider type satire that I think most people on here would appreciate.
Any body else want to weigh in?
