my fish has no sense of direction

My fish has been in that same place for the last hour. He is also very fond of trying very hard to swim through the glass. And sometimes, he forgets where he is, so he swims around veryvery fast for a few seconds to remember.

Anyone got any other pet pictures you wanna share?

He looks a lot like my cat, Jack:

Cat is sitting right beside me, so here are a few snapshots of him. He is middle aged and grumpy but we get along fairly well.

This is me, Jason & the dog, Bruno.

The first is the "nice" picture

The second is indicative of all the 14 other pictures we took.

The best way to get Betas moving is to buy a second one and put the tanks side-by-side, they constantly try and attack the other. It is pretty cool.

Or buy a mirror. Used to tease mine sometimes with one.

Either that or throw it in the microwave. Hey, it worked for Mrs Peltzer.

Mirrors are cool as well, but it is kind of neat to watch them attempt to kill each other. Mircowaves are also quite effective, if all else fails, throw it in the microwave.

Couldn't tell you. I've heard that cats and dogs who munch on plants are iron deficient, so maybe you should try changing your cat's diet. I started feeding my cat IAMs dry food (no wet food) about a year ago and she's been significantly healthier (her fur is shinier, she put on a few much needed pounds, and she's more active).

Yet another picture of my flower child.

Yeah, that's what I feed my cat, with occasional Science Diet wet food as a treat. She's a healthy cat. Her papers say she's 11 years old but the vet guessed 5 or 6 from her teeth, and she doesn't look or feel underfed.

My spiderplants, on the other hand, look pretty wretched.

That cat and I can actually communicate over g-dude's voicechat. I shit thee not. He starts meowing, I meow back, he meows back at me, and on and on it goes. Fun times.

Holy shit! I just got pet stick bugs! A friend who raises them gave them to me out of the blue. Four beautiful baby newborns, they are currently in a jar munching on leaves and trying to blend in with the sticks. They are incredibly small right now, just a little bigger than an ant, but they grow to be the size of my index finger and live for around a year. They also lay eggs a lot once they hit puberty, so soon I will have a mighty colony of insects worshipping me.

They are very fun and easy to take care of too, all you have to do is spritz their habitat with a little water every once in awhile and give them leaves and twigs from brambles to munch on as needed. And every once in awhile it's a good idea to count and organize them, other than that you just watch them grow. I would post a picture but I don't feel like disturbing them at the moment and they are so small they might have trouble showing up on the webcam anyways. Perhaps when they are a little older I will show them off.

How does a person have one stick bug court another? I haven't run across that "For Dummies" book at my local B&N.
