My Little Eye

opinions? I liked it. The first act was a wee bit awkward. Some of the dialogue was clunky and cliche'.
When the 2nd act started, it got more interesting. Very fun movie.

Watching the making of on the dvd, I was a little heartbroken when there was Mark Evans talking about how he lost faith in the movie while they were filming. Quite possibly the WORST time for a director to have second thoughts on a project. But, the movie did do pretty good. And it's nice to see him working on another movie.

So far I've seen 2 Brittish horror movies (that come to mind right away) and I've enjoyed both of them

So what do you guys think?

28 days later, obviously

Obviously? Could have been Dog Soldiers, Shaun of the Dead, Event Horizon, anything.

Anyway, the Director of My Little Eye's new film is out, it's called Trauma starring Colin Firth and Mena Suvari. I haven't seen it but apparently it's over directed and over-stylised, lacking in coherence. There's a review up over on AICN.

Bah that's a shame. But you know what, he's working. That's important.

Oh any I've seen and own Dog Soldiers, I've seen Shaun, AND event horizon. Blah. I wasn't really thinking. 28days and My little eye were the only two that popped in to my head at the time. I've see so many movies it's hard to keep track.

Yeah, well I usually tend not to form opinions on horror films before I see them for myself. Another film that was critically mauled for incoherence and wierdness back in it's day was Jacob's Ladder, and we all know how that turned out. So we should porbably keep our mind's open until we see it for ourselves.

My Little Eye

This movie was so cool to watch at 2 in the morning! The atmosphere and the acting was pretty damned good and the ending- wtf! The ending was horrifying, funny (to me anyway) and sad all at the same time.

Yeah, this film was pretty good. I recommend it to all horror movie junkies. I didn't expect much out of it at all, but this one really got me. I too watched at late at night, which was great because the atmosphere the film creates calls for it. And how timely was this movie? A horror film about a reality TV show is just a great idea, unless of course Mr. Akkad gets the idea. That's how films like Halloween: Resurrection get made.
