I won't even try to disguise this with a story or an issue or a question; I'm resisting the pull of this lovely Saturday afternoon, (and it's not like I can't find a chore or two to do), and I don't want to go outside and work in the yard.......I just want some attention.

Help me out?

It's not like I couldn't find a million things to do outside, but I don't wanna.

Trees? Let 'em mulch themselves.

Shrubs? Wrap them against frost? Let those fuckers freeze!

Bulbs and Tubers? Let them get cold.......I'll not care again until Spring.

Roses? (okay, I will actually take care of them at some point....just not today.)

I'm just feeling exceptionaly lazy today, and there is all this yard work to do. And I suppose that if I could get into some deep conversation here online, I could somehow justify not digging my hands in the dirt. (even though I know that I should).



Dang~! I'm pretty lazy!

Heehee.

Yes, the grill mishap is fine now. (I put a big ass plant over the burn mark on the deck). and, dagnabbit! that you would remember that!


(ps. My step-daughter has me promising that I won't swear anymore....hence the "dagnabbit").

I took a nice long nap. It was a wonderful thing, (my kitty, Pasta, slept on my head like a little kitty fur hat), and now I feel much better.

I never remember about that chat function. That would be entertaining, I think.

I made up for my laziness by working like a little demon all day today. All of my outside chores are done, trees are mulched, shrubs are wrapped and roses are cut back to little spindly looking things. I've still got leaves to rake, but then again, if I wait long enough, maybe they'll all just blow away. I've got a Tulip Poplar that probably needs to come out, but, dang! tree removal is expensive!


Now I've got to start thinking about firewood for the winter. I'd rather not have to fetch it myself, but if I can't do better than $40 a cord, delivered, I might just have to go pick it up myself.
