Looks like Saturday, October 30th will yield

8:00 PM: Dario Argento; An Eye For Horror

9:00 PM: Suspiria

10:45 PM: Inferno

12:45 AM: Deep Red

....with repeats afterwards

On Sunday, October 31st...

8:00 PM: Mario Bava; Master of the Macabre

9:00 PM: Black Sunday

10:30 PM: A Bay of Blood

12:00 PM: Baron Blood

...with repeats afterwards

I've never seen an Argento or Bava film, so I'm looking forward to this.

They should run Phenomena and Tenebrae instead of Deep Red and Inferno, but aside from that small problem, I'm again very pissed my cable provider dropped this channel from their basic package and now charge you your left testicle (or breast, if you're female) to have it.

Thanks alot for letting me know about this. I have IFC and may or may not've noticed before the date. I've missed so many things on that channel. I missed AUDITION for a long time, but luckily happened upon it once in the middle of the night on a Friday. I'll be watching at least one of the marathon nights with a Mexican wrestler's mask and cape and probably quite drunk.

SUSPIRIA marked a shift in tone in Dario Argento's filmmaking career ... With SUSPIRIA, he began to venture into the supernatural, which was brilliant because it allowed him free reign as far as visuals, plot and soundtrack ... INFERNO was the follow-up which was brilliant at times, but just didn't knock me over like SUSPIRIA ...

DEEP RED is more of a giallo, and while it is not the insane onslaught that is SUSPIRIA, it is Argento in top form ... It really is a brilliant film, as is SUSPIRIA ....

I have no problem with these 3 films representing Dario, eventhough PHENOMENA is better than INFERNO ...

In any event, DEEP RED and SUSPIRIA are the Top 2 Argento films IMHO ....

ooops, can't forget Mario Bava ...

BAY OF BLOOD was made at such a different point in his career than something like BLACK SUNDAY ....... BAY OF BLOOD aka Twitch Of The Death Nerve is recognized as the film that inspired FRIDAY THE 13TH and the entire generation of 1980's slasher films, so it is a very different film than his eariler stuff ...

Regardless, BLOOD AND BLACK LACE is probably his best, and I'm surprised it's not one of the ones being shown ...
