Season 3 has started for RedvsBlue with Episode 39. Its over 8 minutes long, so those of you on dial up be prepared for a wait:

Can you not get the older episodes anymore? I looked at their archive, but they only have episodes 12-16 there. Where are the old ones?

They cycle through them, 5 every week I believe. So you can patiently wait to download them or buy the DVDs or just forget about it.

As for this episode, I thought it was pretty damn good. I had to go back and watch the season finale of season 2 to remember what the hell was going on, but that was a good thing too because that episode was very good too. Watching those two episodes has made me consider buying the DVDS.

The DVDs are pretty good, and I think the second one actually has some PSA's that weren't available to regular schmoes on the website (I never noticed them on the site when I was collecting the earlier episodes). The downside is that some of the "fade out" jokes from the episodes are not in the DVD versions (e.g., Sarge's "Pina Colada Song" moment).

The commentary is pretty entertaining, too.

Loved the first episode of the new season. I'll be using several phrases in Halo 2 when playin' on XBox Live.

That was definitely my favorite part of the episode. The whole CTF part was just awesome. I was cracking up the whole time.

Another favorite moment:

Sarge: Come over here and give me a boost.

Caboose: Ok. You are a good person, and people say nice things about you.

Sarge: Not a morale boost, a physical boost!

The CTF stuff was fantastic. It was like any typical game of networked Halo played at 2x speed.

Red 1: Stop it everyone! Stop fighting! Look unto me! I possess the blue flag!

Red 2: It's more beautiful than I ever imagined!

Red 1: I have seen the top of the mountain, and you will worship me as though I were a god!

Blues all rush Red 1 and club him to death

Red 1: I regret nothing! I lived as few men dare to dream!

Three new episodes up in celebration of Halo 2. Also, g4techtv.com (yes, I hear the groans) has several ads they made for Halo 2 Day. "Sick Day" is the funniest in my opinion.
