Ryan O'Neal-BARRY LYNDON

Keanu Reeves-MUCH ADO ABOUT NOTHING

Ralph Fiennes-MAID IN MANHATTAN

Yeah, Keanu's was pretty bad.

How about Natalie Portman in The Phantom Menace?

Kevin Costner in Robin Hood: Prince of Thieves?

Those were supposed to be British, right?

And I still think Elijah Wood's in LOTR could have been better, but it wasn't errible. Just kinda wierd.

The Australian-type dude in "Alien from L.A."

DiCaprio in "Gangs of New York"

Reeves in anything that requires him to pretend to have an accent (aside from his natural one), especially "Little Buddha" and "Bram Stoker's Dracula"

Christopher Lambert, same as above. "Thee-air can bee ohnly wahn." (shudder)

Sean Connery, same.

Coming from Texas, the obvious standout in this category, for me at least, is James Van der Beek in "Varsity Blues." AH DON'T WAHNT YOOOR LAAFE!!!

what about Cary Elwes in Liar Liar? or was he supposed to sound like a british man speaking a forced american accent?

Costner's Beantown accent in "Thirteen Days" easily sucked worse than "Prince of Thieves". And "JFK" wasn't a ton better.

Malkovich's Russian is "Rounders" is one of the most hilarious and favorite performances I've ever seen, but I don't know how you could call it "good".

Yeah, Malkovich sure sucked in Rounders, that was a William Shatner moment.

What do southerners think of Big Fish? Helena Bonham Carter's accent was horrendous in it I thought, while Albert Finney's was excellent and Ewan McGregor generally ok, but I'm not from there so I can't really tell.

The prize for worst French accent ever attempted onscreen has to be Kevin Kline in French Kiss, that was monstruous (even Peter Sellers' Clouseau caricature in the Pink Panthers is more realistic).

Dracula and Kate Beckensale in Van Helsing

ok, even worse (just saw this yesterday by accident on Sky):

Piper Perabo in 'Slap her... She's French'

way worse than Kevin Kline's French accent in French Kiss. one should slap Piper for this poor performance...

Yeah, I once heard it put that that movie is a nationality quandry: You've got an American playing a Russian, a Frenchman playing a Scottsman, and the world's most notable Scottsman playing a Spanish/Egyptian.

And my favorite accent is anything by Van Damme. Such as his "cajun" in Hard Target (a guilty pleasure of mine). But especially in Street Fighter. I mean, I'm not expecting good acting from the movie or the actor, but this guy's supposed to be the Big American Hero? "Tell that seek sonoff a beech, Bison, I'm goinc to keek his bahtt!!!"
