GTA leaked

I am sure someone will find a way to justify this too.

"Half-Life 2, DOOM 3, Halo 2, and today's addition, Rockstar's GTA: San Andreas, have all been leaked, hacked, and warezed before their official launch dates.

With less than a week to go, the Grand Theft Auto: San Andreas impact might not be as big as last week's Halo 2 predicament, but even so, several of the big titles this year have been pirated prior to appearing in stores. The GTA: San Andreas version is 2.6 GB and labeled DVD USA.

"Rockstar Games and Take-Two Interactive Software are aware that an illegally obtained version of Grand Theft Auto: San Andreas and images from the game and manual have been posted to various internet sites. The proper authorities are investigating the theft and are continuing to investigate all possible leads to ensure there is no further dissemination of our creative content. Downloading, possession and distribution of Grand Theft Auto: San Andreas, including making the game available on the internet, is theft.

We take the theft of our intellectual property very seriously and we are and will continue to diligently and aggressively pursue this matter. If anyone finds information on websites with links to unauthorized downloads, information, scans or videos, please contact us at piracy@rockstargames.com.

The launch date of Grand Theft Auto: San Andreas remains the same. The game will be on store shelves in North America on Oct. 26 and in Europe on Oct. 29."

I certainly can't find a way to justify this thread, what with the other one right below it.

I don't see why news sites publicize leaks. People see the news story, then they go and download it.

Yes, we've been talking about this in the other GTA thread.

I didn't hear, Leisure Suit Larry leaked! or Kingdom Under Fire leaked! or the legions of other leaked games......... I mean yeah of course, acknowledging the download in the internet leads to a heavy swarm........but it doesn't matter.....right when a file is up for distribution, you can't stop the cycle.

It's like the war on drugs, it won't stop.....as long as there is some form of a seed, it will continue to grow, same case as in this.

I'd just like to point out that this is not news at all, and that games regularly leak about a week before they release.
