Samurai Cinema Sale. I assume that these are discounted titles and you can also use the discount code.

A few fantastic UK bargains:

If you have an Asda supermarket nearby, the War Of The Worlds: 2 Disc Special Edition is a shockingly low £5, as are Sahara, Hostage and Million Dollar Baby.

You might want to check through them though, some are labelled £5, some £14 something, but all should ring up at the discount price. The sale price applies till around the second week of January. Ask at the counter if there are none on the shelf, as the teller got my copy of WOTW from some they had behind the counter.

Morrisons are selling the 2 Disc versions of Spiderman 1 & 2 for £2.99, as well as MIB 2, should you want to own that.

Tesco have the LOTR: EEs for 9.99 each, or two for 15. They also have the Alien Quadrilogy for £20.97

And lastly, WHSmith have Shaun Of The Dead for £3.75.

Criterion DVD Sale 40% off.

Be better than that guy that used to post on chud.

Oddly enough, the exact same sale is going on at DVDPlanet.com for the exact same prices.

You might wanna check it out here.
I just noticed those Criterion prices today. Deep Discount has been taking forever to ship to me lately, so I might hit DVD Planet to fill in some Criterion gaps. Haven't used the Planet in years --- used to be my one stop shop.
UK folks, Loaded247.com are having a decent sale, with discs ranging from £2.99 for the crap, up to £4.99 for some pretty good stuff. Their normal prices are also good. I got WOLFEN for £5.99, which is about seven quid less than anywhere else.
BestBuy.com is having a TV Box Sets buy 1, get 1 free promotion. The link is HERE.

I believe this is through 02/04/06.

Some include Seinfeld, Married With Children, Stargate, Sanford and Son, Soap, and Dawson's Creek. Also includes a few of the sets for $25, like Seinfeld Volume 6 and Newsradio: Seasons 1 & 2. I'm thinking about picking up Seinfeld Vol. 5 for $40 and getting 6 for freebies.
Also on Amazon.com, they're having a 50% off sale on DVD sets for Fox TV shows.

For Canadian folk:

Future Shop has the Lord of the Rings Extended Edition Box Set going for $59.99 and Angel Season Two for $39.99. There's some various other TV shows on sale as well. I also saw some TV sets that had 2/$30 (I think) on them. Arrested Development was in there (Both seasons). So any Canadian Chewers who want a deal on some great DVD's head down to Future Shop fast!

Also Walmart is having a 30% off sale on selected TV sets. I saw quite a few in there that I would have grabbed if I had the cash. Some Seinfelds, Futurama, Angel (though I already own the series), Buffy, 24 and some others.

Prices vary from $37.99 to $49.99

A bargain for UK Chewers (I'm not sure if they ship to the US):

filmnight.com are having a £2.95 DVD and £9.95 boxset sale.

There's some great stuff in there if you can handle their server problems and limited stock issues. Stuff goes fast and new stuff gets added daily.

A brief list of what's available (all of which stock still be in stock as of this writing, but expect the good stuff to go fast):

All for £2.95 each:

Kung Fu Hustle
Infernal Affairs
Millions
Dog Soldiers: SE
Sahara
OldBoy
Blade Trinity: Extended Edition
Lemony Snicket: 2 Disc SE
Last Samurai: 2 Disc SE
LOTR: Theatrical Editions
The Cave
Nick Of Time
Real Genius

Some good boxsets too (Arrested Development: S2 is still in stock for now at £9.95)

There's a lot to wade through and some of your order may not ship, which sucks hard. They have a crappy stock system and some people have had parts of orders cancelled after ordering due to it being sold out. At that price though it's worth trying, and you're likely to at least get some of it.

Best Buy has a selection of two-disc editions not only priced at $17.99 but buy one get one free as well. Available titles:

Boogie Nights
Magnolia
The Big Red One
Blade II
Wyatt Earp
Unforgiven
Enter the Dragon
True Romance
The Right Stuff
Seven
Space Jam
Robin Hood: Prince of Thieves
Giant
Rebel Without a Cause

And one or two more I'm probably forgetting.

Amazon.com has a special for Arrested Development Seasons 1 & 2--$20 each, or both for $30. An excellent buy, if you don't own any of the DVDs. Just do a search for either one of the DVDs, and it should be $19.97, and under the "Best Value" option it should package that with Season 2 for $29.94.
I saw a few copies of Millenium season one at Sam's Club for $17-something. I don't know why the hell I didn't buy one but maybe someone can benefit from this.
This is completely and utterly Your Mileage May Vary, but I was at Costco tonight with some friends and stumbled across their DVD section.

Not only was PATTON and LONGEST DAY $12.99 each, but they also come with a coupon/movie cash to see X-MEN 3.

But that's not all. The two big ones were these.

Errol Flynn Signature Collection - $19.99
Essential Steve McQueen Collection - $19.99

Flynn's set regularly retails for about $55.00, so that's more than 50% off. McQueen's collection also for around $65.00, so that's more than 60% off, I believe.

These are GREAT AMAZING DEALS people. Let me know if you can take/will take advantage of these.

Right now MGM is re releasing all of the stargate SG-1 series in a new slim line addition. You can order the seasons at amazon.com for like $32 a season. And Best buy is doing a deal where if you buy 2 you get a 3rd season free. how sick is that!!!

hell yeah

AMAZON has the new SG-1 slimline series for $32 a piece, and best buy is doing a deal where if you buy 2 you get a third season free.
Call me a shill if you want, but Barnes & Noble has their annual DVD promotion going on right now during the month of June. Buy 2 get the 3rd free. And that's for any priced DVD -- so if you buy two $100 boxed sets you get the 3rd one free. I picked up 3 seasons of West Wing for $108.
Circuit city has the three disc edition of "Dawn of the Dead" for 17 bucks. I'll definitely be all over that.

What's great about this is their selection is pretty damn good. Lots of older titles and harder to find stuff. Not just 10,000 copies of the newest releases.
I'm surprised nobody has posted about the DeepDiscountDVD 20% off summer sale that is going on right now through June 17. Coupon codes are DVDTALK, USATODAY, SUPERSALE. Hit the DVDTalk forums for a few other codes. It really is a good sale (for your DVD needs, not your wallets).

Not only that, but they have tons of DVDs 10% off, with an additional 10% if you have their discount card. On top of that, I got a member's coupon from them in the mail for 15% off any one item. Add that all up I got the Munich two-disc set, the Criterion edition of Ran, and the first season of Frasier -- all $39.99 each -- for a total of $63. Even without the extra 15%, it still would have been a great deal. That membership card was the best $25 I've spent in a long time.

They also had a copy of the ape-head Planet of the Apes set, and it was glorious to behold.
I got the ape-head too. It's sitting on my tv. Just neat. Making love to it has crossed my mind several times.
It's not the 3-disc special edition, but Spaced Series 1 and Series 2 are £4.97 each at Amazon.co.uk.
The X-Files Seasons 1-6 Re-issue/Slim Cases each at $34.99 at Future Shop.
All of Eastwood's flicks are in the cheap bin at your local evil Wal-Mart.

Because I worship the man as my own personal savior, I picked up:

Any Which Way You Can
The Gauntlet
Where Eagles Dare

Next payday I get Unforgiven, in HD!

Was in Best Buy today picking up a couple of CDs and an LCD Monitor mount, and discovered a sale on TV show box sets for $19.99. Included are all the Seinfeld seasons, so I picked up Seasons 5 & 6 for $19.99 each. I assume this is because Season 7 is about to come out. I'm glad I waited. I think they're usually like $30 to $40 each.
Circuity City kinda fucked up and, at least until they catch, they are selling the Office Season 2 for $17.99. Be sure to have them scan it before you buy it to make sure it's still that price.
I mentioned this in the SpecEd thread, but for you deal-hunters here's an excuse to pick up a woefully-underseen film for a helluva price:

Along with the Best Buy deals mentioned in the weekly circular you can also find The Three Burials of Melquiades Estrada as 2 for $20 (plus City of God). There are actually more than a handful of great films in this sale-qualifying group, but I already own them all so too bad for me.
Target has Seinfeld for a fucking steal at 18.99 a season!

That's gold, Jerry! Gold!

BTW: their prices are really good (on everything but this week's new big title/s) and they don't charge tax or shipping.

In time for Halloween, there's a few horror sales going on there as well:

Best Buy has a bunch of 2- and 3-disc editions on sale for 19.99 AND buy one get one free. Among the titles are True Romance, Heat, Robin Hood: Prince of Thieves, the 3-disc Black Hawk Down set, Memento, Shawshank Redemption, Magnolia, Leon the Professional, The Fifth Element, The Color Purple, Seven, Bullit, Once Upon a Time in America, and JFK. I picked up the 40th anniversary edition of Dr. Strangelove and The Right Stuff, and seeing as how they're both normally upwards of $25.00 each, getting both for a shade over $20 is a damn bargain.
I was gonna pick up MI:3 today, but with no special edition, not sure where the best price is. Anyone done any research.

I might check out Giant Eagle (a grocery store you might have in you area). I heard it was $13.99, plus you get double credit on your GetGo discount (if you have one, you'll know what I mean). That would be a great!
