I Am Legend Blu-Ray is 18.95 at Amazon. 18.91 at Overstock. If you liked the film enough to buy it.

Pretty good deal for a new Blu-Ray at any rate.

Thank you, sir. God knows if I had the money right now, I would have bought all 4 volumes. But in the end, I flipped a coin and got Vol. 2.

From April 13 to April 19, it appears that Circuit City will be having the Alien Quadrilogy box set for $19.99. I'm going to pick one up, it's ridiculously cheap.
Also, Circuit City has the two disc Walk Hard DVD for $15.99:

About time Circuit City. Good job catching up with the rest of the stores. Nothing I want or don't have though.

In regards to Smallville I think most stores have had them at that price for about a month now, including Best Buy. I may pick up the last season for that price. Maybe...
I actually saw the Hellboy Director's Cut for $10 at Wal-Mart the other day.

Yep. My manager at work told me that most places had the sets at $20 already (he is a hardcore Smallville fan). I picked up the Heroes Season One set today. I've never even watched the show, but for $20 - I'll give it a shot.

Yeah, me too. The 3-discer.

I probably paid $30-40 for it when it came out.
Why is Circuit City selling the Alien Quadrilogy 9-Disc box set for only $20 ? Have they flipped out?

*gets ready to go to Circuit City*
Amazon has a "buy 2 get one free" Blu Ray sale going on.

I hate it when that happens. I would run out and get these discs on the first week, now I see them in the $5-10 bins. Irritates the shit out of me. Now I just wait if it's something that can wait.

Amazon is selling Supernatural seasons 1 & 2 for $20.99 each, and the 42nd Street Forever volumes 1-3 for $9.49 each.

Thanks for the heads up on this. Going to buy The Killers DVD. And maybe The Ice Storm. I noticed that the site also has the entire Cowboy Bebop series for around $30. The remastered versions of the episodes. Probably going to pick those up too - even though I have the original DVDs already.

I have already done the same. The 5.1 audio track is reason enough to double-dip, but the remastered picture is also fantastic.

Here in Colorado we have a grocery chain called "King Soopers". It appears that they are closing their DVD and video rental operations, and are selling off their stock for bargain prices. Yes, for the most part this is previously viewed stock ... but at 2 for $7.99 you can find some good bargains. Colorado area Chewers, check it out. There is some good stuff remaining. I picked up "Slither" "The Departed" and the 2 Fantastic 4 films for $16.
The current People magazine has a $5 off coupon for The Golden Compass. True, the magazine cost almost that, but if you see a copy laying around....

Well, doesn't that bring the price down to average (non-bookstore) prices as seen on other online stores?

Very rarely do their coupons drop it down far enough to be worth the trip. Sometimes.

Not if the only title they have is called NOT AVAILABLE.

Actually I went there and after there "store reservation" thing told me they didn't have Masculin Feminin, I went into the store and they had it, so I did get it. Though when I reserved Armacord, they only had the old one, so I didn't get it. I got Kino's Battleship Potemkin though.

Most of the double disc Criterions are $39 and the single disc Criterions are $29. That makes them $24 for the double discs and around $17.50 for the single discs.

That beats DeepDiscount and Buy.com and blows away Amazon, and since the Borders is pretty close to me, it saves me shipping and waiting without really being an inconveniance.

That makes it worth it.

Being in a college town is nice because the Borders here has a great selection of foreign and hard to find movies. Between them and Hastings, I can usually find anything I am looking for.
Well, I ended up finding the title I wanted pretty easily, so I can't complain too much, but their online inventory system really does blow ass. And I've got at least 5 stores within 20 something miles. They just can't seem to satiate my Criterion thirst.
Amazon.com is having a big 50% off sale on some Blu-Rays discs. If you haven't gotten it already, pick up the Blade Runner set for 20 freakin' bucks, or I'll cut ya.
Canadian Chewers: HMV has the 2-disc special edition of Cronenberg's The Fly for four damn dollars.
I'm not sure how many people have a Big Lots by them, but I was able to find these for $3/each:

SQUID AND THE WHALE
TALK TO HER
SKETCHES OF FRANK GEHRY
BLUE THUNDER: SE

And apparently, they also have been spotted copies of ANGELS IN AMERICA, MARIA FULL OF GRACE, and LUCKY LOUIE floating around for the same price as well. But not on my search.

Really (EDIT: I guess you're right)? I thought the Borders stuff was always marked up much higher to begin with (suggested SRP). They are on all the other dvds usually.

Borders (online): Seven Samurai (3 DVD) = $49.99
deepdsicount: Seven Samurai (3 DVD) = "Why pay:$49.95? Our Price: $27.17"

Anyone know when deepdiscount's bi-annual 20% off sale starts this month?

From June 2 to 22, Costco is having a sale on huge-ass box sets. SIXTY DOLLARS off big sets like the Ultimate Bond collection, X-Files Complete series, Stargate complete series (why would anyone buy this?), the fancy United Artists box. $120 for the complete X-Files sounds like a pretty sweet deal to me.

The coupon is in their Summer Passport coupon book. I got it in the mail but I think they usually have extra copies on-site.
