Good two-player co-op games?

Okay CHUD gamers, I need a little help here. My girlfriend has discovered my PS2 through XYBOT on the Midway Arcade Treasures 2 collection, and we've been having fun playing co-op on that. However, I know there are some newer games that offer the same partnering experience. Can anyone give me some tips on some good shooters in this area? I would be most appreciative. Thanks.

Contra:Shattered Soldier, although your girlfriend won't make it past the first level, but that's okay because neither will you.

Timesplitters 2
007 Everything or Nothing
Gradius V (though, ditto what StraightEdge said about Shattered Soldier. P.S.--Avoid Neo Contra at all costs.)
Metal Slug 3 (if you can find it )
Time Crisis 3
Starsky and Hutch (not the greatest game ever, but it has one of the more innovative co-op modes in existence, especially if you've got a light gun, and it only costs $10)

Hopefully thats enough to get you started....
