Just when you think this show couldn't top itself, along comes this episode. It's very rare to find a series that actually gets better and better as time goes on. They really reward you for watch this show! I caught so many references to earlier episodes, it was a real treat. Anyone else see the way George Michael walked into the house? lol.

I really do hope it gets renewed for a third season. There's still so much stuff left up in the air.

After watching the episode I learned that series creator Mitchell Hurwitz was a writer on Golden Girls with Marc Cherry, Desperate Housewives creator, and was a writer on the John Larroquette show, hence those references, which I thought were pretty cool.

Good episode. It's disappointing if it's the last one, but I have a good feeling that it will be brought back. All of the signs seem to point to renewal, so I'm just going to continue to think positive and make whatever little contribution I can to the show.

Fox's Get Arrested site is now updated and says "Arrested Development returns this summer".

New episodes, reruns, what?!?!?! C'mon!

from what Ive been hearing is that this summer will be the 3rd season and if all goes well season 4 will start up in Jan

Ashxking2001 - I like your way of thinking, but wouldn't it be a major time crunch on the staff and crew to create another season this soon?

Unless what they're planning to do is complete season two with four more shows - to bring the number up to 22 - maybe even a few more shows beyond that?

It's ripe, man - this is ripe!

They could always shoot both seasons back to back like Drew Carey or Furturama has done even though that would be a sure sign of dead we would be able to get AD into syndacation

Ashxking2001, I'm not trying to bust your chops-- but do you have any sources on this?

I'd love for it to be true, but I haven't heard/read/seen any information along those lines.

No im just saying what they SHOULD do to keep the show going and make fans happy. Fox always starts there new seasons in Nov why not have Summer be the AD starting season. At least let them go to 100 episodes first before they cancel the show

I was discussing this with someone else earlier....this new Fox president is from FX. He has had tons of success with putting on FX's shows in the off months...nip/tuck, rescue me all started in summer months. They built an audience.

I think the idea of putting on a shortened season of AD on in summer to allow people to find the show and watch it without worrying about competing shows will increase the show's fan base exponentially.

Fox has actually done this many times in the past...the OC, and more famously American Idol all started as summer shows that ended up being huge.

The OC in fact had a summer season, but got so huge, that they started up a new/continuation of the summer season in the Fall season continuing what they built in summer.

I for one think thats a perfect way to get this show some more exposure.

not to be a dick but you didn't say "should" you said "from what i've been hearing is that this summer will be the 3rd season and if all goes well season 4 will start up in jan". so i guess you really haven't been "hearing" thing's.

Lesson learned. i'll never doubt them again.
All these years and listening to the episodes ad nauseum, and I've NEVER realized this. Genius!
