I just wanted to know what everyone thought about The Second Line, a haunted house film, potentially being John Carpenter's next project.

As a huge JC fan I'm interested in anything he's doing or potentially doing. A haunted house film would be great but a werewolf flick would be even better. Do you have any more info on this movie?

I want a Snake Plissken sequel, "Escape from Planet Earth."

A sequel to "Big Trouble", "The Further Adventures of Jack Burton."

The long ago rumored remake of "The Creature From the Black Lagoon."

The idea of Crapenter making a haunted house film is awesome! Carpenter is very good when it comes to atmosphere, so good that even the buildings in his films seem to take on personalities of their own. The houses in Halloween and the lab in The Thing come to mind. So putting his skills in a film about a scary house is just perfect. This could be one of his best films in a long time!

I'd love to see him do a western. Perhaps with zombies. Or maybe ghosts.

why does he not direct the Thing TV project for Sci-Fi instead of Darabont or whoever?

I know JC has said in the past that he's not interested in doing a sequel to The Thing.

Hmmm- how bout some kind of follow-up to They Live instead?

I thought maybe Ghosts of Mars 2 would be cool but then I wondered how you can make a movie any worse.

I seriously hope that movie was not a sign of things to come.

For the record, I think The Thing is one of the best movies ever.

He's basically already done that with Vampires. Yeah anything JC is involved in interests me but I would much rather see him tackle a werewolf film as well. Actually in an ideal world I would love to see do a new version of King's Cycle of the Werewolf but...
