That attitude isn't going to land on you my Myspace.com friend list, buddy.

I hear that. It's incredibly addictive.

I am, but I never use it. "Buddy" networks don't really appeal to me much.

Its a good way to keep track of your friends' bands' shows. And it has some cool local Chicago forums and user groups. I'm not really on there that much, but its also got blogs and some other stuff to experiment with. Friendster is pretty boring.

I think I am. I seem to sign up for those things and then forget about them and ignore them...
I did it mostly just 'cause a friend of mine wanted me to. Not on too much.
Here I am. I knew I was there somewhere.

Is this like Friendster?

I'm not on MySpace, but I perused your profiles. I'm an e-stalker.
It's basically like Friendster but I read that it's kicking Friendster's ass. There's a lot more to do apparently. I'm on it but I just now posted anything resembling a profile. It just doesn't appeal to me that much. It seems like a lot of people on it are attention whores that are too cool for LiveJournal. I'd pretty much forgotten that I was on it until I got any email that someone listed me as a friend. I checked her profile and it turned out to be a webcam stripper. How she found me when I didn't have any info up at the time, I don't know. I added her, of course.

Rath's right. The Facebook rocks.

C'est moi -
http://profiles.myspace.com/users/11040581

I go thru periods of high usage. Whenever I roam my Friends' list and find old buddy and then go thru their Friend's list and on to their Friends' and so on until I get sick of finding ppl I knew but never really cared for. I use the blog feature constantly to air rants and bullshit and I'm now trying to network ppl that live in Miami interested in writing, producing, making films. And yeah, it's great for finding local bands.

Although you can no longer message everyone on your friends list, The Facebook is still way better than myspace.

Horseshit. Thefacebook is better as pure networking/"Hey, I wonder what happened to..." tool, but with Myspace you can essentially create your own web page. It allows for a lot more flexibility and aesthetic interest, which is what I'm into. Thefacebook is like looking at a CIA dossier on everyone.

I can't begin to explain how that little chart above is dead on.

Anyhoo, I joined the God forsaken site in the fall of 2003 and I'm amazed at how popular it got so fast.

It used to be like buying drugs before "Hey...you ummm...got a.... MySpace?" to "Hey! Do you have a MySpace! WHAT?! YOU DON'T!?"
