Ask me a question (The "I'm Bored" Thread)

I've been scanning pages into a computer for the last three hours up here at work. I need something to break the monotony while the lamp warms up between scans.

So, ask me....anything. Whatever question pops into your head, and I'll dish up an answer to the best of my ability.

I'm sitting in a flourescent room that sucks out all will to live, so this is gonna be a slight shot in the dark:

1/2 hour:
"Anybody seen a ghost?!"

1 hour:
"Jannene, I'm sure someone of your impressive skills should have absolutly no problem finding work in either the housekeeping or food-packing industries. You gonna answer that?"

The ultimate vacation: a week-long marathon of classic films in my own theatre with a group of my favorite friends/people whose opinions I trust, and having long discussions about films and such. Hosted by Robert Osborne.

And every night Anna Paquin and Scarlett Johansson await me in my bed.

EDIT: I forgot to say that all of this takes place in New Zealand.

I haven't the foggiest clue, but now I, as well, am intrigued, also.

Was the information you added incorrect? I'm sure that'd irk some people after a while.

Women don't have wallys because they don't like messes, and guys don't have breasts because we couldn't handle the milk output.

They did do something like that on Sliders--they cast Jerry O'Connell in the lead.

Sliders was a great concept. As a show...not so much.

Having my own place. Finally getting somewhere with my bachelor's, rather than stagnating in this hellhole that calls itself a community college. Living closer to you. All of the above.

When I was a junior in high school, I was riding the bus home from school with some friends of mine. This bus was old, rickety and about 5 miles from junkyard heaven, and rode like it. Every pothole would send every person flying up in the seat, there were only two speeds: breakneck and stopped, so everytime we made a drop everyone slid forward into the seat in front of them. Well, one day we're complaining about how we're the only route to have a bus as crappy as ours (all the others had "Blue Birds", with A/C) and how the bus we were riding should be destroyed. "Yeah," I said jokingly, "We should blow the bus up."

The bus driver (an overweight mid-20 something with a God complex) overheard this. You'd think it'd be obvious that I was joking. You'd think she'd probably get the context in which it was said.

You'd think that, but you'd think wrong.

I ended up getting kicked out of school for a month for that one. Luckily, my principal took a look at the whole thing, figured that I was probably the least likely person in the world to try and blow something up, and decided not to notify the police about the matter.


Shot at? Nope.


If by "car surfing" you mean "had a Jeep Grand Cherokee use your legs as a speed bump after running a stop sign", then yes.
