Local Arizona Bands

Well, this isn't my band, but my cousin's band. They have been together for about 3 years and a few months ago put out their first CD, Turn Of Tomorrow. They rock out and have a great sound. You can learn more at reasonfornothing.com. There are only 3 in the band Mark (my cousin): bass/backing vocals, Jason: guitar/lead vocals, Jeremy: Drums/Trumpet. Definitely check them out.
Other AZ. Bands that are cool are:
IdiotKin
Minus 200
Conscious Collective
Authority Zero
The Format
Trik Turner
Chronic Future
Roger Clyne & The Peacemakers
Phunk Junkeez
Then, probably the most successful band to come from AZ...
Jimmy Eat World
There are so many other local AZ. bands that kick ass, AZPunk is a good site that lists pretty much every punk/rock band in AZ.

Redfield, Hall13, Girl Kicks Boy, Victim 26, and 2 Dimes are a handful of other great local AZ bands. Life in Arizona may be fucking boring, but at least we've got a great music scene.

Yeah, the local music scene is great. I haven't had a chance to listen to any of those bands. I've heard of them and I actually used to work with this dude who grew up with one of the guys in 2Dimes.

Right on, man. 2 Dimes are a solid band - nice guys, too. A couple of weeks ago, my sister was trying to promote some kind of fund raiser show or something, and they ended up one band short. She gave them a call, and told them up front that it wasn't a paying gig, and they jumped on it immediately - no questions asked. The show ended up being cancelled in the end, but the fact that they're willing to play in an instant for no money to help people out is respectable. Most of the bands in the scene are real class acts.

You should check out these groups also, if you haven't already: No Gimmick, Bullet Train to Moscow (they don't have a website) - they're two really good Punk bands. Also possibly Pokafase, Drunken Immortals, and Ill Al the Anglo-Saxon - if you're into rap and hip-hop, that is.

And I've heard of Reason for Nothing before - they're a good band, too. Haven't seen them perform, though.

That's cool. You can't find alot of people who would give up time and energy for nothing in return.

I've heard of No Gimmick and I can't believe I forgot about Bullet Train...I saw them in concert at MinderBinder's a while back, they're cool. Familiar with Pokafase and Drunken Immortals are sweet. I get into all types of music, favorites though are rock, punk, and hip-hop. A couple of buddies of mine are actually trying to get their stuff off the ground. One guy is 2-D, he had a song played on Power 92 the other night, during their local music spotlight. Then my other boy, SearzTowerz is trying to get into the game too.

If you ever want to check out RFN, their next show is down in Tombstone on December 4th or just check on their site.
