Apologize for dropped Halo (or other) online games here:

There are so many Halo 2 threads, thought I'd start yet another one as a place where you can drop a quick line if you had to leave a game suddenly or lose your connection or whatever.

I was in a pretty fun little game with Eyeball Kid last night, and had unexpected company(!) drop in about 10:30. It was a free-for-all match, so I really didn't get a chance to announce that I had to go.

So who provided the continual amusing deaths after you dropped out?

I dunno, but I think my character model should sport big floppy red shoes, bright orange hair, a nose that makes honking noises, and large red concentric circles on the front and back...

Next time I'm on...I'm on with A MIC!

Beware!

I'll just put this down as my constant apology. My connection is SHITE and seeing as I probably wouldn't quit playing with fellow CHUDfolk unless I was forced to, that's why I keep dropping out of games unexpectedly (or even worse, not replying to party invites because Bungie is having "network problems").

Just disconnected from a game with Adverb, well it wasn't me it was my brother, he just went on, started sucking then turned the Xbox off.

Now he says the games both of ours even though I paid for it, the controller, and just about everything else.

Fuck that noise, no one fucks up my record, game and clan meetings, no one!

BTW: Game yesterday I uit from: apartment blackout

I would like to apologize to Slater and everyone else I was playing with tonight, especially Wayward 1, for my shitty connection and eventual drop. It usually sucks, but it's never been like this before. I tried everything to fix it, which is why I hung around for so long, but to no avail. Our whole internet is basically slowed down to dial-up speed and I'm having great difficulty navigate the CHUD website right now. Arg.

Ohh come on Kyle, you mean playing a 4 team, 2 per team, 4 flag, on the smallest board possible by myself was bad? LOL! ahh it was okay, but it made guarding the flag very hard..HAHA. I did like the Foundation map, that was freaking hectic..

I had a horrible connection last night as well. I recently switched to a Linksys router so I could be online and on Live at the same time. Any opinions on how much speed I lose by doing that? (it is a MS approved router)

Ohh and sorry for having to jet out of the clan game earlier in the evening with Nick and them (I got back on in about a 1/2 hour). Apparently the X in XBOX does not stand for ex-wife because she was being a pain in arse.. Wanting to "communicate"... Bah humbug..
My excuses for dropping out are completely different. When the wifey is resting up, I'm on baby detail. When the little guy starts waking up for a changing or just to view the world around him. I need to take care of that business first and foremost.

BTW, that 4 team CTF game was an absolute blast and should be done more often. Imagine four teams of four on a slightly bigger map.. It would be insane! (I feel like I'm a carpet salesman TV commercial saying that, but it's true)

Sorry for getting knocked out of today's 3 team, 1 Flag CTF at Foundation(?). Had a mini-emergency with a screaming newborn, and I was far enough away that I couldn't respond to you guys.

Had to eat

My first night playing halo 2 with the chud crew unfortunately was ruined by my having to eat and thus, dropping out.

Do you guys play every night? I'll follow Nick to a game if I see him online, but if he's not and you see me online in our Clan list, feel free to send me an invite(gamertag: justinkelly). I get tired of playing random morons, even though as i'm sure you'll find out, most of them are much better than me.

djdylan, Kyle Corkum, et al: Sorry for dropping last night (Mforge), my connection was wonky and kicked me off three times. Very unusual.

I had a really bad connection yesterday as well. I wonder if they were having some issues over at Live Headquarters?
I've dropped a game or two due to many reasons, and I apologize. Normally when I settle down to a game I'm pretty much in it for the long haul, but over the past couple of days there have been some issues at home that have interrupted my game time. A big one is that yesterday one of my two dogs went into anaphylactic shock and I had to give him an emergency dose of antihistamines.

He's doin' better today, and is under observation at our vet. Hopefully he'll be online with me tomorrow night.

It's ok man, I believe we still won despite my own connection problems in that game. Crying babies are certainly a good excuse.

I do think there was some network problems yesterday. Pretty much every game I played yesterday had some kind of problem, especially that 16 player Zanzibar game where everyone was lagging at once. That was really weird.
That lag on Zanzibar CTF was insane indeed! Nothing worse than the flag suddenly disappearing from your base and finding out you just lost.

And I'll lay a blanket apology down if I ever drop. Sharing DSL with 3 roomies sometimes isn't fun.

I was in a game with a bunch of you last night when my landlord came to yell at me, so I apologize for my AFKness.

A real quick apology to Booty Baron, Iron Chef TY, and one more person for leaving in the middle of a four team/oddball/swords match. Our green team was doing pretty good, but my son decided that he had "monsters" in his closet. By the time I got done kicking imaginary monster ass I realized it was very late....

See ya guys online soon!
