Halo 2: Multiplayer Strategy

I’ve been playing shooters since Castle Wolfenstein 3d. I consider myself a capable gamer. But damn, I get my ass handed to me every time I play Halo 2 online.

“Good against remotes is one thing. Good against the living, that's something else."

I can’t how many times I’ve been lighting a guy up only to have him kill me with just a few shots. Head shots maybe?

I’ve picked up a few tricks; using a plasma weapon to take down shields and an SMG to finish ‘em off. And Jumping when attacking with the sword seems to work well.

What other wisdom can the wise H2 jedi teach us ‘targets’?

Don’t give up your whole advantage, but help a brother out!

there is a similar thread already, but one thing that i have noticed when it seems like you are pumping a guy full of lead with two weapons, and they take you out seemingly in a few shots, its usually because you recoild like a bitch when you use both the left and right hand at the same time...you have to do controlled bursts.

Unless you are point blank w/ dual smgs (the only time i pull down both triggers) quick controlled bursts from each hand is smart.

Also, shooting, charging at the guy, and then hitting them with a melee works well with the plamsa rifle still, but it seems like in halo 2 you have to actually aim your cursor on their upper torso/head to get a powerful enough slap with the gun.
