Hotel Rwanda Q&A Screening on Sunday

I'll be moderating a Q&A with the director and real-life person whom Don Cheadle portrays this Sunday at Phipps at 7pm. I only have about 10 spots for the guest list, but I'd love some of the wiser and more voval CHUD.com readers in town to be there to see this apparently terrific flick.

If you're interested, put your name here.

That's one.

I'd love a pass if you've still got one.

Thanks.

Looking forward to seeing this and listening to the discussion afterwards.

BTW, does the screening start at 7 PM or 7:30 PM on Sunday?

I should have said that I already got a pass to this from someone else. Doesn't sound like there are many takers for this screening (maybe because it's on Sunday?)

I'd like to attend.

I'd like to go as well if you still got a pass.

Like George, I already have a pass to this, but if I didn't, I would certainly be requesting one. I've heard very good things about this flick and am really looking forward to tomorrow's screening/Q&A.

Also, the pass invitation I got also says 7:30pm, so is it then or at 7pm?

And did you say that Paul Rusesabagina would be there, in addition to the director?

I read that he received a 5-minute standing ovation following a screening of the film at this year's Toronto Film Festival.

There's an interesting BBC article on him here:

Thanks Nick. Highly appreciated. One question: does the pass cover one or two people? Just asking!

See you tomorrow.

Passes are for one.
Lenny, you can bring a guest.

Be at Phipps no later than 7pm. I should be there and will get you in.

Stay for the Q&A, people. Ask questions!

Micah, I have room for you and Erika.
Andrew, I have room for you and Vanessa.
Will, I have room for you and your injury.
Dennis?
Justin?

Whomever...

I can spare maybe 4 more seats total. I'm seeing Kinsey right now, so I'll check my cell's email once I get out.

Nick,
Looks like it'll be just me tonight, so if you can get another person on the ticket who wants to come...

Very interesting and moving story. Thanks for the passes Nick. Definitely worth watching.

Sorry, Nick. We were stuck in Bowling Green, Kentucky with a defective borrowed Jeep Grand Cherokee. For four fucking hours... Stuck in Bowling Green. Which, incidentally, is neither Bowling, nor Green. It is, however, in Kentucky.

Sigh. Wish I had been around for this one, but was out of town. Oh well, I'll look for it in theaters.

Brilliant. Thanks Nick. The Q&A was even better than the movie and to have Paul Rusesabagina and Terry George there, was absolutely great. More of those!
