The millitary ads

I thought I put this here though maybe it should go to the TV section. Right now I really can't understand the millitary ads going on right now.

First you have the marines which has decided on "The few, the proud, the marines". Ok, why at wartime would you send a message that there are few of an entire millitary wing. Wouldn't "ellette" be a better word. But at least I know there are a few marines becuase now the army is the "army of one".

Why are there ads braging that there are so few millitary people. Whats next "The Air Force of zero". Its not conforting knowing in a war the president may be saying "looks like we have a lot of insurgents here. Who should we bring in a few or one?"

If you are in the millitary I'm sorry at any offensive my comments may have caused but lets face it, the ad slogan isn't the best.

Yeah, Navy ones are the best. They show a bunch of cool stuff and set it to music. No one questions its purpose, like the Army ones; what the hell does "army of one" mean?

I take more issue with the content of their ads than the slogans. What does showing a woman in space, orbitting the earth have anything to do with the fucking air-force? That's not to say that being in the air-force wouldn't help your odds of becoming an astrounaut but as far as I know there are no air-force personnel commissioned by the air force itslef to go into space and that is what is implied by the commercial.

All these commercials are edited like a big budget action movie gone MTV, they look cool but are so very misleading.
