Hi I am new but what the hell I`ll jump in the deep end.
I personally think that the proposed Freddy versus Jason Versus Ash idea sucks (A chainsaw hand ain`t gonna hold either of them off for more than a minute) and I also think Freddy versus jason versus michael would be interesting but inevitably dull and repetitive. Jason and michael are too similar on fight terms. By that I mean that michael would not be able to bring anyhting to the table to make a sequel different to the first film. He has no more influence in the dream realm than jason did and his style in the real world is the same as jasons (well to be correct jason`s is the same as his but lets not quibble here).
I have always like the idea of pinhead being the third character.
1)Pinhead has a far more justifiable reason to hunt the 2 killers. They both escaped from versions of hell and pinhead is hell`s nightwatchman. Pinhead and the cenobites are only interested in people who open the box and are immense perverts (watch hellraiser 2 with the puzzle solving girl and pinhead`s reaction) and freddy is one perverted S.O.B.
2)Jason no longer has to be in the hero role as pinhead is the nicest of the bunch. Seriously he may look weird and be obsessed with pain but the original films make clear that he only picks on sado-masochists and they deserve what ever they get for being nutcases. (Don`t say about the girl from the first 2 films its quite clear from pinhead`s dialogue that she is a closet perv who hasn`t come to terms with it yet.).
Pinhead did go on a mindless killing spree in movie 3 but that was just the evil side of him minus his humanity so that doesn`t count. Pinhead would thereby be in the hero role as his origin and character makes him the best choice. Freddy = Pedophile. Jason = Drowned kid who kills anyone and everything. Especially if the victim has just had sex. Pinhead = World War 1 soldier who is made twisted and perverted by what he saw during those years.
Who is less evil pedophile, killing machine or sadomasochist? The later quite obviously. With Jason no longer having to be in the hero role, he can dish out even more murder and mayhem and not have to worry about having to emote his child hood problems.
3)Most importantly if you allign Pinhead with jason against freddy(boost freddy`s power a bit for such a concept) then you can have them double teaming him in a unique way. Jason can do the majority of the real world beatings against freddy. Meanwhile pinhead could quite feasibly take on freddy in the dream world. Jason had no chance as he is just a hack and slash killer while freddy has control of his domain. But if you put pinhead in there then you can have a really cool dream world fight.
Just imagine it...
Freddy flees jason`s attack into the dream world.
Pinhead reveals himself there and begins to show his demonic powers.
Freddy tries the same tactics he used on jason against pinhead but it just cheers pinhead up.lol.
Freddy and pinhead go at it with claws and chains flying left and right.
I have the image of pinhead using the chains like hooked tentacles coming out of himself to clamber around the boiler room enviroment. Wouldn`t that be cool!

I mean what powers does pinhead have that he has never shown because he has never had to fight full on before? What are pinhead`s fears? How would he try to fight off jason in the real world?
Michael myers and ash are nice ideas on some basic levels but could either one`s inclusion bring these many interesting ideas to the table?
