Apologies if this is too obscure but I saw this little gem of a UK horror movie recently at a special screening and loved it.
The Toybox is a low budget horror flick with a nice little twist and some great actors.
It concerns a dysfunctional family reuniting for Christmas and the carnage that results when a new person is added into the mix.In some ways it travels old ground but it is handled brilliantly and there are some hilarious moments from the family matriarch played by Suzanne Bertish.
There is enough gore to please even the most diehard fan, which coupled with some psychological thrills
makes for an uncomfortable experience at times.
Acting is superb throughout with a lovely turn as the heroine coming from the super sexy Claudine Spiteri.
