Right now I'm stuck on XQQQ. Why do I have the feeling that the answer will be painfully obvious once I find out.

"airline", Detective.

I'm stuck on the last riddle of the sand level -- "I am used to bat with, yet I never get a hit. I am near a ball, yet it is never thrown."

Thank you, Graham. Eyelash is the answer. You got me off the "sport" thought.
Still trying to work out the 'rebus' in the sand course.

'UPLATM'...I'm sure I'll kick myself...got the 'scrambled-eggs' one easily.

Two sisters are we, one dark and one fair.
In twin towers we're dwelling, we're quite the pair.
One from the land, and one from the sea.
The fairer sister, who is she?

I got stuck on page 3 of the Water Way (level 4). I have no idea what that picture could be. I decided to try the next level and also got stuck on page 3.

The alternate question on level 4 is: "What can be described by the following clue? Black babies in the red house within the white house within the green house."

Level 5: "See if you can pick the odd word out from the list that follows, then tell me why. IBIS - IBEX - ORYX - SIKA - ZEBU "

Both have one-word answers.

Anyone got these? I'm going crazy.

Googled the words, each is an animal.

IBIS is the answer. It's a type of bird
The others are goats, deer, or cattle.

A camera costs $100, including the case. The camera costs $80 more than the case. How much does the case cost?

This is making me clinically insane.

I forgot about this game. Glad you all are enjoying it.
Yeah, nice find Diva...it is annoying that some of the obvious answers I simply can't get, while many others the Chewers are having problems with, just leap into my head ...weird.

Anyone completed this yet?

Enjoying it!?!? This thing is the bane of my existence!!!

For every two or three answers I can skim right through, I get stuck on one and cant get it out of my head.

My current bitches: How many successful jumps to graduate from parachuting school?

and: This all people want, And are willing to fight for. But in fighting for it, It is lost.

I have an idea but cant find the right word to answer it.

AAARRGHH!!
I was doing pretty well until the question of When at parachuting school, how many jumps do you have to make to graduate?

I know I've heard this one before but I can't remember it fo the life of me.

'all'...and 'peace'....

This rebus is REALLY pissing me off, though "lov" (without the '"'s)...I'm thinking along the lines of 'tainted love' or '"something" love'...If I could just get my mind to grab what seems just out of reach...could be barking up the wrong tree, saying that ...

Yeah, some of these you need to try a few variations on your answer. Enfuriating fun!!! (oxymoron ahoy!)

You're right around it: "endless love" I finally kicked in the crossword-pun reflex. And, well, got some coworkers in on this damned thing.

The Metal ones are a stone bitch. I'm staring and staring at the sequence "T F S E T T F S E T T T T" and damn if I know what the hell I'm looking at. Anybody to that one yet?

EDIT: Got it. Damn, this guy's cruel.

Something maybe to do with the word love being unfinished, unending... I am stuck on this as well.

(and thanks for the other answers)

Nevermind. Thanks, Trav McGee.

Just got there meself...any clue? (to Trav...or others...)

Damn... What do the words : aspirin -- cellophane -- escalator -- yo-yo -- pogo stick -- thermos -- zipper, have in common?

So far the only thing I can find that they have in common is that they are all nouns...

Aren't they all brand-names and/or generic names that should be capitalised?

As for "T F S E T T F S E T T T T" is the word 'test' involved...my bloody eyes are crossing!!!

Spoiler

They are all series of trademarks. The answer is TM.

They're all trademarked names, so "TM"

...Jammed up on that same 10 J Q K A one, too. In poker that's a straight (8 letters, argh!). But the J and K have to be above the others for a reason... I was thinking "bent/broken straight" and the like and synonyms like "crooked" (7 letters! bah!) or something, but can't nail down any better tack on the rebus than that. I keep getting thrown by "requires tiny bit of general knowledge" but no "specific terms". Does that mean "know it's referencing poker" but not having to know what a straight is?

Or is poker a total red herring?

Maybe this'll help to narrow it down ... Heh.

Edit: Whoa, y'all are fast. The letters series, you're looking for "two four six EIGHT ten twelve..."

Still stumped on the "poker" (?) one...
Can't believe I said fullhouse...'cause it ain't ! (hangs head)...
thanks you guys for the TM answer. Now I'm stuck where you are. I can't help but feel that poker is not really what it is about. Though I've tried Blackjack and twentyone to no avail.

Me, too!

What's the betting it's NOT poker related?

It's the POSITION of the letters that must be relevent.
The Jack and the King are both men over cards that aren't...sorry, just typing aloud, here...hmmmm.
If not poker, surely some card game, gotta be with a 10 and those letters... but the five-card thing is soooo poker-hand...

It's also written as a capital M, if you follow it up down up down from left to right. em-hand, straight M, em-straight (M Street, "Georgetown" -- 10 letters! gnnaaarr) something-in-an-em...?

I'm never getting to sleep tonight now.
Got it...more literal than I thought!
Yeah? Yeah? I can't wait to see how much I'm over-thinking this damn thing.

Is it at least card-related?
Irritating...can't seem to get to the fire level...do the codes change everytime you log in?

...or is this ANOTHER puzzle?
Yes...and no...

Think literal, think position....and another clue...

9/11.

Graham. SHARE!

Don't make me come over there. Dammit.

I've given and received lots tonight, but if I spill THIS one you'll hate ME and YOURSELVES.

MAJOR CLUE

Yes they are cards.
Yes you need to know what the cards are called.
Yes the position of the cards is important,
The WORD is NOT card related...

I repeat my earlier clue...9/11

'SAY WHAT YOU SEE!!"

'Nother clue...ignore all poker hands you know...forget the games you played with them...just say what you see...
