Anyone Chewers wanna hear my old band? I'll toss any mp3s yer way, if interested. We were called Mil Mulliganos (its a mouthful, to say the least.)
We broke up a few years ago, but had a pretty good run in Chicago while together. Recorded two full lengths and 2 unreleased EPs. The 2nd full length got some pretty kind press reviews. As it stands, the records are a weird marker of where I was after college.
The sound could be best described as a catchy rock band with punk and old school rock/metal influences (think Pixies, Black Sabbath, Fugazi, Afghan Whigs, Husker Du, Guided by Voices, Cheap Trick.... a real sloppy, but tasty, mess.)
We were too punk for the pop scene, too catchy for the metal scene and too riff rock for the punk scene. But dems da breaks.
Part of the reason I'm posting this is cause I have boxes of the record sitting in my basment and any little thing I can do to alleviate that cargo would be helpful.... and a boost for the ego. Almost should be in the shameless self promotion forum!....
