I know Todd McFarlane always talked about trying to do a sequel himself that would be closer in spirit to the HBO animated series with Spawn being more of a boogeyman-style character in the shadows and having Sam & Twitch in it, but I wouldn't count on that EVER happening.

Last I read he was trying to get another Spawn animated series off the ground.

Was Martin Sheen in Spawn? I vaguely remember liking seeing him as a villain. But anyway, shit film, most horror from Hollywood is shit anyway, maybe one day films wont be primarily aimed at kids. I'm still waiting for a revival or rennaisance like in the late 60's, early 70's where Hollywood just did whatever it wanted.

Yes. Looking back on it I'm sure he wonders, "What the fuck was I thinking?!"

This movie is the reason he gave up on the hardcore drugs.
