Guy signs CC slips with everything but his real name

Kind of funny. I used to do this when I worked for Turtle's (a music/video store), and I would check out tapes--you had to sign the slip, and I'd always put "Bruce Wayne", "Batman", "Vince Neil", etc. I especially like the last one he writes.

They don't even make you sign your CC slip at the sub shop I frequent on occasion.

One reason why you don't have to sign CC slips anymore is that it costs more to try to collect on a bad purchase than the what was bought. Usually purchases under $20, no signee.

Either way, the man sure has some nice ideas. It's true, what's the point of signing?

My friend went to Vegas on vacation and he thought it was hilarious that every time he used his card they'd like analyze his signature, and he even had to get fingerprinted a couple times. Then when he gets back to Canada, first time he uses his card, he doesn't even have to sign.

When he was being fingerprinted the first time he asked why, and said they don't do that in Canada, and most of the time people don't even check signatures. She was like "What? Isn't there crime in Canada?"

The people may have noticed but didn't care. Why would they? It's not really their problem if the guy gave a fake signature or not, it would be his. He still signed for it whether it was his name or not. If the guy came back to return a product I would ask for his copy and once I noticed the name on the slip didn't match the name on the card I wouldn't give him his money back or exchange the product.

When I worked at a place where I had to get people to sign CC reciepts I never checked to see if the name matched up, they didn't pay me enough to care. I'm sure there's lot's of people who just do little squiggly marks when signing for stuff.

I would sign those guest books with "Ace Venture" or "Butt-head". I've never thought of signing the CC card receipt.
