..in "Rebel without a Pulse"

First saw it in PC gamer 2 days ago....

A zombie from 1933 in a 1968 "city of the future".... ahhhh cool.

I know there's a sticky "horror games" thread but this may have just got buried under all the other posts.
It scheduled to come out this coming summer... something to chew on until "Land of the Dead" hits in October.

Zombie Games coming our way

I'm an avid gamer myself and this one sounds great. I'm not excited about the fact that they're using the Halo engine but other than that it sounds really unique and original.

There was a feature on one of my friends OXM discs about this game, seemed pretty interesting although the game itself looked rather rough. I seem to remember the programmer mentioning that the team consisted of mostly ex Halo programmers, but I could be wrong. That may be a good sign, and also a good reason to use the somewhat outdated Halo engine(well outdated in some ways, it's still better than most recent games).

Capcom's Dead Rising looks to be the best of the new zombie games.

Evil Dead Regeneration looks really cool although no zombies just Deadites unless you consider Deadites to be zombies.

Yeah, it looks fun. Those finishing moves and the midget are wicked. That said, I think Stubbs is by far the best looking zombie game. That new trailer has me in stichtes every time I see it. Awesome soundtrack as well.

Looks cool, but it also looks a lot like Destroy All Humans!!, which I liked but most of the chewers in the videogame forum didn't.

So, how is this game anyways?

It's not been released here thanks to some fuck up distribution-wise, thus preventing them from cashing in on the halloween season.

Evil Dead Regeneration is really fun, especially when you possess Sam!

Just rented this yesterday, and it is a perfect rental. Fun, but not much to it. I'm 2 levels away from the end already.

But yeah, amassing a zombie army, bite by bite, is pretty fun. I'd like to see this better implemented in a game...

But still, the game's damn funny, and as Dan said in his review, the music is great- although it's shame it's only used at the title screen and that dance-off (which could have been better implemented itself).

The Brains speech in front of the flag had me rolling.

I expected this game to be like "Destroy All Humans". Fun, but not worth $50, and probably a better rental than purchase. Sounds like I was right.

I'm so very annoyed I still can't find this anywhere to rent.
