"Undead" Movie

Thread Starter
I saw that Portalis mentioned this movie... I hadn't heard about it so I did some searching.
It looks like it might be a decent zombie movie with a twist.... looks really action-oriented.
It is already out in the UK so if anybody has seen it I am curious.

This is a link to the trailor.

If everybody has already known about this and I am posting old news, just hollar at me and tell me I am a lame-o.

Lions Gate is supposed to release it in early 2005. But the Undead homepage also says "Released: Early 2005", so maybe it's not the best source of information.

Yeah, what the stink is taking them so long to release this in America, while "Alone in the Dark" will be punishing empty auditoriums next weekend?

Yeah saw it about a month ago(went region free and never looked back) and it wasn't bad. But honestly I don't think it was worth all the hype. I will applaude it for taking the zombie genre and trying to do something different. But I gotta say Marion is cool.

The guys making it sweated blood, and did wonders on a zero budget, but the film simply isn't very good. The sort of flick your little brother might like, but overall it's pretty forgettable. Hard to recommend.

Possibly the only review that does it justice.
It's no 'Evil Dead'.

I have it on the way from Oz and I'll form my own opinion, thank you very much

This from a guy who loves "Night of the Comet." Is that out officially on dvd? I see what looks like bootlegs for sale on eBay.

I really enjoyed this movie. It is a zombie movie, but it's a zombie movie on drugs. There is lots of totaly weirdness in it, but I really liked that. It is as if these guys wanted to make a zombie movie, then decided that has been done to - wait for the pun - death. It is easily one of the more original zombie movies to come about recently. And, I mean, triple barrel shotgun!

Definitely worth checking out.

Aliens. Zombies. Contagion. Flying People. Day of the Dead-like underground stations.

A gringo farmer who fights the undead Matrix style.

Bloody shootings. A wet bra scene.

You'll find all of this in the movie. Sounds good, but besides the gringo farmer all the characters are annoying as hell, thus making the movie a little hard to watch. And the story is so weird, so over the top that it's nearly a little bit too much. But it's still better than 28 boring minutes Later or Van Boring.

Oh, did I mention the attack of flying zombie fish?

Apparently it's getting a limited theatrical release on July 1st. The competition? Fantastic Four. No matter what anyone may think of the quality implications of the trailer to F4, we all know that it's gonna sell well at least that first weekend, being a holiday weekend and all. Does it really make sense to try and release some crazy, Aussie zombie flick at the same time on a limited scale? One would assume that they intend on testing the waters to see if it should go wide or not. If so, why on such a competitive weekend? That's just silly.
