In my second year of Graphic Design school I had that comic tacked up next to my PC. My R.A. did a room inspection and cited us for "dirty dishes." Our kitchen wasn't actually that bad, and I think he was actually just a pissed off mac user who wanted to take me down a notch for it.

If we try hard enough, we may get an Amiga advocate out here.

No, on the fast food scale of computing, Linux would be a farmer's market, Windows would be a really nice resteraunt owned by retarded gun wielding mafia members with turret's, and Apple Mac would be snack time at the local day care center.

The best operating system? OS/2. MUHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA

Microsoft OS/2 V1.3 or IBM OS/2 Warp 4 ?

Either way, it's equivalent to the partnership between Walmart & McDonalds.

Bad.

BTW, Mac is the equivalent of like eating at a place like :

Alain Ducasse's Essex House Restauarant (NYC)

or

Masa Takayama's "Masa" (NYC)

or

Or Joe Pytka's "Bastide' in LA

or

The Blue Bar at the Algonquin Hotel in NYC which serves a "Martini on the Rock" which starts at $10,000, and includes a diamond of the purchaser's choice.

Take your pick.

hehehe...Mac OS X is UNIX under the hood, so what does that make me if I am a fan? OS/2 used to be one of the most in-use operating systems in the world for business appliances (i.e. bank machines, etc.) Not sure if that is the case any more.

Windows suffers from being the most popular and thus the first operating system people come into contact with generally. When you are number 1, it follows that the vast majority of people who like breaking OS's will try on yours first. It also doesn't help that MS gave us the magic of VBScript/Windows Scripting Language. My 8 year old wrote her first VBScript program two weeks ago. Given how easy it is to code in, and how powerful it is, is it any wonder windows is besieged by every 13 year old Hax0r and their dog?

I use Slackware Linux at home and OS X at work. They play together very nicely.

And FUCK AmigaDOS. Commodore's GEOS 128 is where it's at!!!

Well, the biggest problem consist of how Windows is setup. Ports are open from the start, and it's security measures are small. For instance, anyone can install and run and exe file on Windows because there isn't a authentication/password system. In OSX, nothing can be installed without the admin. Usernames and passwords are asked for installing any app. Sure, someone can create an app in Cocoa that would bypass the authentication process, but they would have to go straight to the system buffer. And that, is close to impossible.

I dunno, OS/2 was just the name of some operating system I saw my friend use on his machine when I was 11 years old.

$10,000 ...Yeah, that sounds about right. That last one. By the way, the whole 'martini' thing sounds like a wierd thing to have at a children's resteraunt.
