Don't forget that beach in Malibu that everyone goes surfing at, even thought there's no out-break.  It's the one with the Statue of Liberty on the bottom.

Throw Momma from the Train's title was taken from this song. For years I just thought it was a goofy riff on Strangers on a Train (like the movie itself).

Hoyt Axton and David Huddleston are two different people.

I always got Hoyt Axton confused with Roy Clark and David Huddleston confused with Charles Durning, but I never got them confused with each other.

I still confuse Hoyt Axton with Joe Don Baker.

In the movie Rocky (I) When Rocky goes to see Adrian in the Pet Store the first time (that we see) , he steals a package of turtle food!

Zosia Mamet, the actress that played Peggy's lesbian friend on Mad Men, is David Mamet and Lindsay Crouse's daughter.

Just watched It for the first time in probably a decade and had no clue that Seth Green was in it.  He plays young Ritchie Tozier.

This is probably gonna start happening a lot, now that I'm almost done with the show, but thanks to the "Fuck yeah movie moments" thread, Juliet from Lost played one of the creepy ass pedophiles in Running Scared.

Gomey from Breaking Bad was on the Mexican drinking team in Beerfest.

Josh Duhamel and Timothy Olyphant are not the same people.  I only sorta half believe this.

Jason Statham is what Burt Reynolds was in the early-mid 70s but instead of a mustache, he's bald.

In Ronin, the silver spray paint that Stellan Skarsgard's character uses to spray the windows in the safehouse earlier in the movie has to be the same can he uses to spray the fake case.

How dare you compare Josh Duhamel to Raylan Givens, I MEAN Timothy Olyphant.

So I'm watching a program called The Sopranos at the moment (it's rather good, you should give it a go), and I'm thinking "Wow, that Dr. Melfi is nice, and such a unique, yet familiar voice."

Then, in my gangster mood, I put on Goodfellas and BAM! it's Dr Melfi!

FACT:

Michael Bay had Tim Olyphant on an expensive retainer so he could blow shit up really close to Josh Duhamel in Transformers.  It's always important to have a spare.

Similarly, for Shia Labeouf he had Ben Savage on stand-by and for Megan Fox he had a life-size manga cartoon.  BUT if John Turturro was injured, production would shut down because he's just awesome.

True story.

Paulie is in Goodfellas.  So's Big Pussy.  So's Chris. So's Phil Leotardo. So's Larry Boy. And a bunch of others.  It's almost like David Chase did that on purpose, I tells ya.

Must have been difficult for Duhamel to have an Olyphant in the room like that.

Tim Daly and Tyne Daly are brother and sister.  So are Michael and Virginia Madsen.

According to IMDB, Martin Sheen's brother delivers some of the voice over narration in Apocalypse Now.

I wonder if Fergie thinks she's married to Timothy Olyphant.

In Moon, one of the Sam Rockwells starts playing "Walking on Sunshine." And he's there to harvest the sun-produced helium-3 ("sunshine") on the moon's surface.

Seems painfully obvious now.

I wonder if Fergie's drivers license says "Fergie Olyphant", which could totally be an NES mini-boss

Jared Harris plays the future Will Robinson in the Lost In Space movie.

Jared Harris plays the young British Lieutenant at the beginning of The Last Of The Mohicans!

(Not sure why both myself and Turingmachine have had Jared Harris revelations within the last hour, but there you go.)

Dentist Tim Whatley cooks meth?

So, Avengers. I was trying to figure out the point of the silver stripes on the shoulders of Captain America's 'modern' costume and for a second it occurred to me that they could be stylized military insignia. But there's only one stripe per shoulder, which would make him a lieutenant.

Watching the Fistful of Dollars blu last night, I found out that for its debut on American TV they shot an incredibly ropey prologue giving Clint a more 'family friendly' motivation for his actions. Cast: Not Clint Eastwood, and HARRY DEAN FUCKING STANTON.

The purple fonted title card for The Beach (2000) takes it's font and color scheme from the spine of the first edition hardcover novel (under the dust jacket). I bought the book recently and discovered this fact.

If I had to guess, it's probably more the kind of decision a fashion designer would make. They're pointing toward the star in the center of his chest while making his shoulders look more broad. The stripes on the abdomen on the modern version of the costume cant inward as well, narrowing his waistline. Which is more thought I've given to Chris Even's waistline in... weeks, at least.

"Who's got two stripes and a terrible costume designer? This guy!"

He also apparently played Lennon in some Beatles-thing.

Yeah, that was a VH1 TV movie from 10 years ago. It was pretty good too but Harris was pretty weak as Lennon. Though Aidan Quinn as Macca was a revelation.

I've always liked Aidan Quinn. He projects a sense of inherent decency. He was Scorsese's choice for Christ in LAST TEMPTATION, but turned it down.

Even in The Eclipse where he's playing an asshole who is essentially the villain, he's still remarkably sympathetic and likable.

Word. The chap playing McCartney in that film was a dead ringer for the real Paul too.

Django Unchained has both Crockett and Tubbs in it.

Do you know the story there, Elvis?  I thought Quinn was gonna do it in the early 80's, until the project fell apart the first time.  Maybe he didn't wanna follow up The Mission with it, or something.

Ian Hart. Yeah, definitely. The worst? Christopher Eccleston. Just...awful.

I don't know the actual story, but I'm guessing he had Irish Catholic relatives and wanted to avoid any awkward conversations about Jesus getting earthly with Barbara Hershey.
