I just recently realized that David Wenham is the pseudo-drag queen songwriter with the black pageboy haircut at the beginning of "Moulin Rouge". No wonder Denethor was upset!

Debi Mazar was in Collateral?

Didn't realise that, right after reading that I thought back to that part where he goes "Goodbye!" and duhhh...that's Wenhams voice...silly me.

The Porkins one I just realised a while back also..........

the dumbest one for me was two weeks ago when my dad was watching CSI and it had that theme music which I realised they used for Charlies Angels 2 when they have that crime scene............scene.........so they even used the music unbeknowest to me.............which just goes to show I don't watch C.S.I at all.

also......Life Aquatics end titles is an homage to Buckaroo Banzais end titles........

Some might even know him from Memento and L.A. Confidential.

EDIT: Speaking of Memento, Alec Baldwin was Christopher Nolan's first choice to play the lead.

Used to be. I'm pretty sure Billy West has been doing both voices in the more recent commercials. But yes, I was shocked to learn that too.

I just noticed Temple of Doom shortened forms TOD, which is the german word for death. Uh.

Denise Richards is in Fat Albert.

Sean Penn was in an episode of Viva la Bam. Just seen it. Had to look twice to believe it.

Michael Winslow, Ken Foree, Andy Dick, Wil Wheaton and AXL ROSE can be heard in GTA San Andreas. I know from Sam Jackson and the others, but those were new to me.

Rutger Hauer's character in the movie Wanted: Dead or Alive was offspring (or grand-offspring, not sure it's ever clarified) of Steve McQueen's character in the old TV series with same name.

Wow reading some of these posts, kinda surprising. Okay here goes

They guy who plays the captain in the Fast and the Furious was also the serial killer in Silence of the Lambs.

Muscles don't make you hide that you're a geek at heart (see Vin Diesel).

and in the next few minutes after this post I will be done with it, so there will be no saving it:
the soundtrack to Return of the Jedi is really dissapponting.

While watching Win a Date with Tad Hamil-whatever, thats Kate Bosworth's eyes are two different colors; left one is blue, the other brown.

Which for some reason I find very sexy.
Terry Gilliam directed those "Little Less Conversation" Nike football (i.e. soccer) commercials from a few years back.

That is her natural eye color, and not contacts, by the way.

Believe it or not, Ted Levine is an accomplished actor who has starred in many more movies than Silence of the Lambs.

My first on-screen crush (I was 11) was the girl in Honey I Blew up the Kid.

Turns out it was Keri Russell.

Also: Busy Phillips and Bijou Phillips don't look anything like each other.

Sam Jackson used to be Bill Cosby's stand-in on The Cosby Show.

Probably because they're not related.

Bijou Phillips and Chynna Phillips, on the other hand... still don't look all that much alike.

George A. Romero
Roger Corman and
Chris Issak were all in The Silence of the Lambs.

Romero and Issak were in the Memphis sequence.

MacGyver fires a gun in the pilot. No wonder the director of said pilot was Alan Smithee.

I also didn't know "Throw me the whip" guy in Indy was Alfred Molina until the "Pointless Throwaway Action Character" thread.

Niles the Butler on The Nanny was the captain of the aircraft carrier in Hunt for Red October.

Joe Pantoliano was Guido the Killer Pimp - and - Snake.

Miller's Crossing

Sam Raimi was the "laughing detective" in Miller's Crossing, the guy who shoots the white flag waving bartender in front of the "Sons of Erin" bar. Raimi dual wields revolvers and gets littered with Tommy Gun spray, it's a pretty funny scene.
