The Satanic Rites of Dracula and other cheesy horror flicks

I fucking love this film. Satanism, nude chicks, that 70's-style hairdo that the Brits flaunted (bitching sideburns and the pageboy-style hairdo), Christopher Lee and his Oriental minion. Bad acting, bad special effects. I fucking love it. I recently acquired three box sets of B horror films and have fallen in love with all of them.

Favorite "B" horror flicks...any takers?

Night Train To Terror. Bad Eighties hairdos, lots of gratuitous breast action, horrible editing and music that makes my ears bleed.

I give it a hearty thumbs up.

Big fan of "Satanic...", the fact it has Christopher Lee AND Peter Cushing should make it required viewing for the entire world.
Another movie which is great in the same vein is Vincent Price's Last Man On Earth

# Although Night of the Living Dead (1968) is often considered to be the first of the modern zombie movies, this Italian film predates it by four years.

# This film was originally going to be produced by Hammer Films of Great Britain. They decided not to make it and passed the script over to their U.S. associate, Robert L. Lippert, who produced the film in Italy.

#It's based on Richard Matheson's novel, "I Am Legend", as was 1971's "The Omega Man"- but "Last..." is closer to the source material.

Both Satanic Rites and Last Man are on a dvd together, with 1940's The Devil Bat, starring Bela Legosi.

"Bloodsucking Freaks." An evil dentist drinks a woman's brain through a straw. A demented midget. A woman eats a penis hotdog. Highly recommended.

The Gore Gore Girls, part of Herschell Gordon Lewis's menagarie of work and a 1972 classic. From the back of the dvd cover:

"A lunatic with a grudge against G-strings, pasties, and pretty women is slaughtering the sexy strippers who work for strip club impresario Marzdone Mobilie (Henny Youngman, believe it or not). Not content with mere murder, the psycho enthusiastically mangles and mutilates the women, thus turning Marzdone's go-go girls into The Gore Gore Girls."

Fucking beautiful. Blatantly poor special effects (pig intestines, etc), bad dialogue. A classic.

I like Lugosi and all, but Christopher Lee will always be my Dracula of choice.
